Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is not a religious text as many believe. Infact, It is the book of Answers.

Let us Grasp some Pearls out of this masterpiece and begin-

Number 1 - Why?

How often do we start a thing but leave it unfinished?

A student starts reading a whole book and loses interest in between. A person starts his/her weight loss journey and loses motivation in no time. Bhagavad Gita said, "Whenever this happens, It is because of the reason Why do we want to do a certain thing is not crystal clear.!"

Arjuna had come well prepared in the battlefield but lost interest in fighting it was at that moment, Lord Krishna addressed his "WHY".

Let's understand this with an example, A boy who understands the benefit of waking early in the morning but still the alarm buzzes in the morning he turns it off go back to sleep. ("WHY") Because his "Why he should walk up is not strong enough. " Although, if he has to catch a train in morning he will wake up easily, WHY..! Because this time his Why is very strong.

So, in Chapter 4 verse 3.8 says that,

Indeed, there is nothing purifying here comparable to knowledge. One who become perfected after a (long) time through yoga, realizes that by himself in his own heart.

Which means, to ask yourself Why do you want to Achieve that Goal?

What's the big deal in not doing it?

Know that the clearer your "WHY" is the stronger your "Determination" will be.

Think of any successful person there journey was no walk in the park. Instead, it was their way that made them person today is.

Create At time we seem to understand How important it is to do a task but still, we tend to Procrastinate or feel lazy.

How often we tend to delay making the report until the last minute?

Why Does this Happen?

In Shrimad Bhagawad Gita Chapter 18 verse 2.8 says that,

The Agent who is unsteady, naive, unbending, deceitful, wicked, lazy, morose and procrastinating is said to be possessed of Tamas (the state of ignorance).

Whenever we tend to procrastinate a work knows that our mind is in the mood of ignorance. In such a mood the mind is governed by its basic instincts which makes us unhappy and regrets us later in life. Basically, to feel lazy is the weakness of mind. But HOW DO WE OVERCOME THROUGH IT?

even, ARJUNA in Chapter 6 verse 34 said,

For, O Krishna, the mind is unsteady, turbluent, strong and obstinate. I consider its control to be as greatly difficult as of the wind.

It means that arjuna want to say that o Krishna controlling the mind is much more difficult than controlling wind. Krishna replies in Chapter 6 verse 35,

The Mighty Lord said: O-Mighty-armed one, undoubtly the mind is intractable and restless. But O son of Kunti, it is brought under control through practice and detachment.

DETACHMENT FROM WHAT?

Sensory Pleasure.!

Think of a Cricketer who is training 18 Hours a day, 7 days a week JUST TO MAKE HIS COUNTRY PROUD.!

Do they don't feel like going out for movies? Having fun? Or having favorite food? Of course, they do but it is their control over the mind and senses, that had made them what they are doing.!

The first step is to control the mind and sensory pleasures is to set the right Environment.

Let's say there are two employees who both decided to crack a company Interview. First person starts studying but have a lot of distractions. He uses phone plays games instead of study and watches TV etc. other person knows his environment needs to change if he is really serious about Cracking the Interview. Associates himself with the people having similar goals. Now who Do you think is more likely to succed? Surely, the Second Employee because he sets his enviroment according to the winners attitude. If you Truley wants to accomplish something? Create the right Environment for it.

BELIEVE Constantly working towards your aim but still not able to find success.

Often Doubt arises, AM I GOOD ENOUGH? AM I CHOOSEN THE RIGHT PATH?

Even the people around you might say this is not for you, You should do something else. these are the toughest time but,

In Chapter 4 verse 4.0 says that,

One who is ignorant and faithless and has doubting mind perishes. Neither this world nor the next nor happiness exists for one who has a doubting mind.

It means, the person has doubting mind no one can help him, He is only person who can help him.

Let's take an example, there are 2 Public speakers Both gave there speeches and got nervous in front of all public. 1st speaker feel embaressed and quit public speaking permanently. But the 2nd speaker know doubt he his bad in speaking but instead of quitting he tries to analylsing why he failed. He got confidence and practicising on his faults and delievers his speech much better than the last one. Why, because unlikethe first speaker who doubted himself at the onset of an obstacle. HE BELIEVED IN HIMSELF AND INCHED CLOSER TO HIS GOAL.

Further In Chapter 2 verse 4.7,

Your right is for action alone, never for the results. Do not become the agent of the results of action. May not have any inclination for inaction.

It means a one shouldn't focus on the goal should focus in his actions. In other words, let's take example of 2 students who wants to become IAS OFFICER. 1st student thinks about the life of IAS officer that How's good the life will be,the facilities I'll get by that post. Other student didn't thinks like this He focus on his actions and hard work, He actually knows how the life will be but he also knows that for that life he have to work that much that he can achieve that post.

Summary-

Contemplate why you want to achieve a particular goal. What's the big deal in not doing it? Once your reason is crystal clear, you will become your motivation.

In those times, when we procrastinate or delay a test that is impotant to us, know that our min is in a state of ignorance.

to overcome the mind's this weakness, get detached from the sensory pleasures.

Create the right environment to make the things easier.

At times, when you are constantly working towards your goal and still not finding success, don't doubt yourself.

Instead, believe in yourself and work continuously without pondering or attaching yourself to the results.
