Love letters from the dirt
(Un)Common Knowledge: Trees can talk to each other. Or rather, they communicate with one another. The connection is through their roots. An underground otherworld spanning far and wide beneath forest floors. Reaching through rainbows of happy yellow hues to rich reds and browns. Holding the world together. When one is rooting deeper in nutrient rich soil or the other is struggling to leaf - they merge resources via carbon transmission. Passing dishes around the dinner table.

You are in control
In Buddhism there is a method achieved through meditation where you allow yourself to step outside of yourself. To grasp this concept you need to understand that there is essentially no such thing as a soul which allows you to access this method easier because there is, in a sense no you or one thing that is you to be more precise. You are a coming together of multiple things in a given space and time. The greatest example, and my personal favorite that is used to help outsiders understand this concept is the chair example. You are asked to find what makes a chair, and is it still that same chair if all the pieces are replaced? It is an idea or concept that shakes one's previously held beliefs or assumptions, and it is thrilling. The purpose however is that there is no one thing that makes that chair, a chair. It is simply the coming together of various things in a certain place and time. This also applies to humans, and once you understand that, you are able to access the ability to step outside of yourself. To be more specific , you are stepping outside of your thoughts. When you are having a bad day, and your mind is all over the place with wild thoughts, simply acknowledge that you are not your thoughts and then step outside of them. Allow yourself to watch your thoughts rather than running alongside them. By watching them and not getting caught up in the thoughts, you are able to calm down and bring yourself back to a peaceful equilibrium. It’s not as easy as it sounds or I make it sound, but it can be achieved through meditation. In a way it is simply an extension of meditation because when you meditate you bring yourself back to your breath, and concentrate on that. When you meditate you allow yourself to be in the moment and present essentially picking a focus item. You still allow thoughts to come into your mind because that’s natural, and you still hear the sounds that are present in the space you are in because that is also normal. The goal is to relax, and let go. Just like how in meditation you allow the thought to come in and float away like clouds passing by; you simply do a similar thing in this concept. You watch your thoughts running wild, and you either naturally let them stop or you lead the direction in which they flow, either way is fine because the purpose is to not be consumed by these thoughts. You have to understand that you are not your thoughts, and they do not control you. You can control them. That is the point. This can be achieved by meditating regularly. There is a common misconception with mediation that I want to clear up so that you can use this method as effectively as possible. Meditation isn’t just yoga, it isn’t sitting in an odd and uncomfortable position until you can’t feel your legs anymore. You shouldn’t be uncomfortable meditating. You can meditate by simply focusing your vision on a spot or by bringing your attention to your breath. It is also about mindfulness, in fact you can even focus on the sensations going on in your mouth while eating a piece of chocolate or any food for that matter. You can focus on the feelings of that chocolate in terms of texture, taste, and so on. It doesn’t have to be something uncomfortable or weird. It can be whatever you want it to be as long as you are training your mind to focus and to follow your instructions.

Forgiveness and Trauma
If you have been following my Instagram page, I have been mentioning Forgiveness a lot. Why am I stuck on that theme as of recent? And why, is the word Trauma listed with the word Forgiveness in the title? It has been a rather long week for me and those in my circle and anyone else who has been involved. Without giving you the specific details of the events that occurred, I will just say that an EXTREME Trauma has affected my INNER circle. If you have followed my blog previously, you know that I have survived numerous sexual assaults. I have written about one of them. I have not mentioned the others I have suffered as a child or the two events that occurred after the sexual assault I mentioned transformed me to become the yogi writing this blog.

You can't Manifest a Mercedes
When many of us think of manifesting we think of someone sitting in a room, surrounded by crystals, meditating their way into utter success. But, what if I told you that we manifest the good things into our lives by correcting the behaviors and the environment that exists right now? While there is something to be said for maintaining a positive position, making time for meditation, and creating focused goals. The idea that you can simply sit and wish for something, without changing your actions or the environment around you, is about as attainable as touching the Sun.

Biorhythms Meditation Can Change Your Life
When I was four, I could not talk like the other kids; all I did was make sounds and point at things I wanted. My parents knew, having had my sister, that this is not normal behaviour for a four-year-old kid. No parents want to have the test done on the own child, but my parents family friends said that I needed to get tested as I was not reaching the milestones that a four-year-old should be. That faithful day my parents took me to get tested. The psychologist told my parents that I had dyspraxia and autism. Dyspraxia a brain-based disorder that affects fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and motor planning. Autism a developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. Now lots of things are known about both conditions, but back in 2002, there was not much. The uphill battle was now beginning on fighting my way to try to do what I love, which was science. Fighting my way to go into mainstream school and trying to be at the top of the class was hard work.

Biorhythms The Perfect Meditation Program
The biorhythm theory is a pseudoscientific concept that our everyday lives are immensely influenced by rhythmic cycles with exact periods of 23, 28, and 33 days; physical, emotional, and intellectual cycles, respectively. BioRhythm is a virtual self-help program that enlightens people on the alterations they can implement in their lives to enhance their future triumph in life. It is an accurate, tested, and powerful program that can reveal to you vividly what the future has in store for you and how to embrace more of it; this is according to New Chicago, IL, on August 18th, 2020.

Meditate To Become Great
Personally, I have never seen the benefits or reasoning behind meditation. Sitting there with legs bent, feet touching one another, eyes closed, along with palms facing upwards and resting on one's knees, all whilst sitting there in silence and solitude, was never something I ever considered doing. I was always happy just to pause for a moment, and have some quiet time to myself, maybe just browsing through my phone, or listening to music, rather than doing the meditation stuff. Plus, I always had to be doing something, as I was never one to just sit still. That was how I spent my time away from the world, and all the dramas of life. Last week, however, I tried meditation for the first time, as it was highly recommended to me by someone successful and professional, to assist with my personal development, my mindset, my thought process, my awareness, and my behavior. Even though it always looked a strange practice to me, I knew it was something I needed to actually try for myself, and overcome that discomfort, as I continually want to better myself as an individual. Even just a week of trialing it, I have already found it to be extremely powerful and beneficial, and have certainly changed my opinion towards it. Like I had previously felt, there are undoubtedly many people worldwide who would see meditation as a bit of a waste of time, something that wouldn't be in any way helpful or beneficial, something that wouldn't yield results, and something that is just a little weird and uncomfortable to do personally. In fact, a lot of people would simply state that they barely even have time to scratch their nose, let alone spend 10 minutes of their day meditating.
