You can't Manifest a Mercedes
When many of us think of manifesting we think of someone sitting in a room, surrounded by crystals, meditating their way into utter success. But, what if I told you that we manifest the good things into our lives by correcting the behaviors and the environment that exists right now? While there is something to be said for maintaining a positive position, making time for meditation, and creating focused goals. The idea that you can simply sit and wish for something, without changing your actions or the environment around you, is about as attainable as touching the Sun.

My Top Five classic book recommendations, and why everyone should read them
My father is an avid reader. He instilled this love for books in most of us kids. Of the hundreds, likely thousands, of books I have read there are some that stuck with me on the deepest of levels. Reading allows us to enter worlds we could never have dreamed of. Books put us in dynamic situations that leave us on the edge of our seats. Sometimes, we find ourselves screaming to the characters as they enter dangerous territories or unforeseen tragedies. We have all watched a movie and cried tears of happiness, fear, or despair. But, a book my friends, a good book requires that we create these worlds inside ourselves and live them as if we are there. Don't be fooled by these titles. Some of these books will challenge everything you believed about humanity. Here are my top five, life-changing books, that I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Enjoy.

Lessons and Lions - A breakdown of my Leo traits
Leos. The prideful, stubborn, "know it all" of the astrological signs. I supposed the same could be said for the Taurus, except his gentle nature is likely more of a catalyst for balanced decision-making skills. Something I have been truly lacking in. At least for the first few decades of my life. Astrology has always been an interest of mine. However, if I said I was a study of the stars I would be lying. Honestly, horoscopes give me a bit of the "heeby jeebies". While I believe in the properties and characteristics I am just not a fan of seeing into my future. My anxiety allows me to haphazardly predict that enough as it is.

Influencers sharing experiences vs. Sad Fishing
As I navigate my way through remembering, and sharing, the most vulnerable bits of my past, I oftentimes ask myself if I am sharing too much. When do I cross the line from sharing for the sake of experience and "Sad Fishing"? Then I remind myself that I am not seeking sympathy. My long-winded purpose is to tell you about all the stupid shit I've done. Then, tell you how not to do stupid shit. It's pretty simple.

The Tack Trader
The barn was cold for an April morning here. The smell of bran mash and alfalfa was the stuff dreams were made of. In the third stall down, on the left, Travis sat with a sorrel mare named Kite. He carefully picked the excess of her chestnuts off of her right front leg. The crunch of hay, and the picking of the boney growth, was all that could be heard.

Part One: Frances Loretta Falling Tick. Tick. Tick. The rats scraped the glass enclosure methodically. Where did they think they could go? I often ask myself the same question. Always sitting here in my room, you would think I was in some sort of a delinquent's prison. I certainly am not. In fact, I choose this existence of sitting here listening to the white, static sound of my rodent friends planning their escape. Tick. Tick. Tick.

Making Mayhem and Memories.
The memories pop into my head so much that it's almost embarrassing. You would think after all these years, that the moment my grandmother told me not to eat a second bowl of ice cream wouldn't pop into my head while I'm washing dishes. But, it does and it happens more often than you would think. Memories that I have from things people have said to me or rejection in my early years. It's strange the way they just stop by. Actually, some of the heavy ones were the driving force of my behaviors in my 20s and probably through my early 30s. I was a bit of a late bloomer. The traumatizing years of teenagerdom, seem to have been insufferable for me. For whatever reason, my psyche held on to every negative thing that had ever been said to me with clenched fists. Maybe I'm just not wired right.

A Veteran Teacher answers your Assumptions about "Yoga People"
I recently did a Social Media survey where my followers could make assumptions about "Yoga People". Needles to say, they were ALL fun. It is pretty wild to me how many think that we are these calm, peaceful beings. I assure you, most of us are not. Especially Western practitioners. I took the results and chose my favorites to answer for a Youtube video. But, I felt this was a good "bloggable" moment, as well.
