Finding Zen
I've always been drawn to yoga, ever since I found out it was a thing, and while my practice has been piecemeal over the years, I feel it is fair to say that my yoga practice has coincided with some very significant and wonderful moments in my life. Over the last 20 years I have tried many different classes, and some have been life changing such as when I was attending classes at Yoga Baby when I was pregnant with my son, but many classes just didn't feel quite right for me. Hot yoga is sweaty and disgusting in my opinion and as someone who is hyper-flexible I was always having to be conscious of not over-stretching and hurting myself, other classes have felt too fast or focused of intense levels of contortion, which while I appreciate this may work for others just didn't help me to soothe my impressive Vata imbalance. Then by happy chance I found myself in Louisa's class. Her classes were the gloriously blissful highlight of my week, no matter how I was feeling her class just seemed to be magically tailored to meet my exact needs, it was like she knew my soul better than I did. Unfortunately, after about a year I was no longer able to attend Louisa's classes, but thankfully she pointed me in the direction of One Family Yoga and Fitness, where I found wonderful classes that also felt like just the magic I needed to soothe my soul and find a little zen in my manic life. It was here that I first experienced Restorative Yoga, if you have never tried it you really must, the feeling of stillness and of being completely held and supported is truly divine.

Pregnant And Zen
Music has helped me cope with many life stressors, from an adolescent to now an adult. I can recall my first heartbreak at 14 years old; I cried to the sounds of "Soon As I Get Home" by Faith Evans. Even though this approach may not seem therapeutic, releasing those tears allowed me to cope with the situation, and I felt more refreshed when releasing tears and unwanted emotions. Ever since then, I've been utilizing music to help me cope with my feelings; now that I am pregnant; successfully, I tend to become emotional due to the overwhelming feelings throughout this high-risk pregnancy. I decided to get a doula, a woman who helps mothers emotionally throughout their pregnancy and post-pregnancy. With her assistance, I can gain more coping skills that I can utilize during this journey. If you are a mother or soon-to-be mother, stress is apparent and natural; it is something that we are unable to suppress because it will come back up to the surface during unexpected times. So, my Doula recommended guided meditation, and this is executed by an experienced practitioner who guides you through that meditative state. Meditation is a coping skill for me because it allows me to become one with my thoughts instead of pretending my mind can go blank; meditation is utilized for calming when one is under pressure.

Intergalactic Travel
I have a million playlists for a million different things: music for writing, tunes for cruisin’, classical versions of 2000’s pop songs, jazzy vibes to pair with a glass of wine, café melodies for a rainy day, cardio tracks to hit the pavement, beast mode beats to lift heavy for a few hours, fierce femme hits to lift lighter for less while still kicking my own butt, dance covers for cleaning, Spanish guitar for reading, EDM for when the mood strikes, a little David Arkenstone to bring out my inner witch, and a combo of everything representing the soundtrack of my life.

Pranayama In Times of Pollution
Breath is essential and central to human existence for each breath is the celebration of life itself. With our first breath, our life begins and with the last one, it will come to an end. Here is an interesting fact for all of you- normal lungs can hold up to 5 to 6 litres of air but how much do we really use? Only 10% of our full lung capacity. If a mere 10% is responsible for our stamina, immunity and endurance, it goes without saying that breathing longer and deeper is a necessity to rejuvenate the human body and aid it to perform better.

ChillBro Baggins
I don’t use any kind of THC, I don’t drink alcohol all that much, and I take Ritalin for an almost debilitating ADHD problem that wasn’t diagnosed until I was an adult and had already reaped all the consequences of not being able to focus on any one thing for more than a few minutes (no college for this cowboy).

Setting the Mood to Meditate
Meditation I studied meditation and mindfulness practices while working towards my Yoga Alliance teacher certification. Meditation is an interestingly practice, because it's the practice of focusing on nothing. The goal of meditation is complete mental calm. But it's not an easy thing to obtain. The moment we think we've obtained this mental peace, we've lost it, because we've thought about it!

Love Bubble Energy Process for Kids
Well Hello, it's Linda here from Neutralizing With Love. How are you going today? I’m here today to tell you the journey of Love Bubble Energy. It's an amazing story that popped into my thoughts as I was thinking about how I mix with people and how sometimes I let people mix a little too much with me and my energy. You know what I’m saying, huh. How you come away from some meetings a bit flat, not so happy.
