The Importance of Community
When Maya packed up her apartment in the city, she didn’t tell many people. There wasn’t much to say. Her husband, Daniel, had passed six months ago in a tragic accident. The grief had hollowed her out, leaving behind a shell of someone who once loved bookstores, jazz on Sundays, and impromptu road trips. Now, the world felt distant. How Gen X Redefined Traditional Norms.... Top Story - May 2025. Content Warning.
Gen X is often portrayed as the generation that raised themselves and there is a reason for this. Gen X'ers were raised by the Silent Generation and Boomers, which those older generations were generally very set in their ways and opinions. They had a hard life, living through wars and massive changes on a global scale. Religion was still a priority but the time for church became something that was not as pressured on the Gen X kids as by these generations. Silent Gen and Boomers were often busy working, especially as technology began to rapidly advance and the cost of living rose just as quickly. The older generations also were not accustomed to the mindset of there being much to "worry" about when it came to letting "kids be kids", because they were raised with the mindset to work, and work meant supporting your family - even if it kept you from them often.

I Read 100 Self-Help Books and I’m Giving You Their Secrets
My Quest for a Better Me Five years ago, I was a mess. My desk was a chaos of unpaid bills, my dreams of writing a novel were buried under excuses, and my mornings started with a groan and a snooze button. I wasn’t failing, but I wasn’t thriving either—just drifting, like a boat with no rudder. One rainy afternoon, I picked up a battered copy of a self-help book from a thrift store, its pages dog-eared and hopeful. That book was a matchstick, lighting a fire to read more. Over the years, I devoured 100 of the world’s top self-help books, from Atomic Habits to The Power of Now, not as a scholar but as a guy desperate to grow. Each book was a stepping stone, teaching me how to build habits, shift my mind, and chase what matters. I didn’t just read them—I lived them, scribbling notes, trying their advice, and stumbling plenty. Now, I’m not a guru, but I’m better—happier, bolder, me. I’m packing all that wisdom into this guide, a gift from my journey to yours, with three big lessons to light your path. Ready to grab it? Let’s roll! 😄

But beyond the headlines and shock lies a deeply human story of love kept quiet of a daughter longing to honor her father’s memory and of a man who defied stereotypes even in private. B was born in 1976 during a time when Freddie Mercury was ascending the heights of global fame. According to the biography her birth was the result of a brief but deeply intimate relationship Mercury had with a woman married to one of his close friends. Out of respect for her marriage and for personal and religious reasons B’s mother raised her with her husband while Mercury maintained a quiet but constant presence in the background. He never claimed her publicly but behind closed doors Freddie was not just a friend or a visitor he was a father. He had his own room at our house B writes in the biography. When he was away we’d speak on the phone every day. I didn’t realize he was famous until I was older. To me he was simply ‘Papa.

Why Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) Are the Modern-Day Oracles
Let’s get one thing straight: being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) in today’s world is like being a raw nerve at a rock concert. Loud noises? Overwhelming. Crowds? Exhausting. The sheer emotional weight of existing in a world that seems determined to burn itself down? Absolutely exhausting.
