love
All you need is Love, and Love is all you need.
The Fountain of Youth
Public transportation and I have been in a love hate relationship for a very long time. I love the way my train speeds down the tracks in the afternoon while I see the highway congested like a parking lot full of cars. And then there are days, wherein I hate it because the older kids are rowdy and picking on unsuspecting passengers.

Finding Wyoming
They were arguing all night. This one was especially bad. Nick and Alice were on the verge of a breakup for a while, but tonight it seemed he wanted a full stop. ‘That’s it. We are ending it.’ said Nick firmly, although his voice was trembling and did not reflect confidence of his choice. ‘It can’t be one sided decision,’ retorted Alice, walking out of the door, unwilling to accept it. ‘No more tears tonight’ she thought.

Question
Her head rested on his chest. They were both naked and sweaty after sharing their bodies with each other. She lay there, pensive; thinking about the answer to the question he had just asked. She didn’t really want to reply, but she knew she couldn’t hold quiet. He would get restless and ask her again. “What is it that you want?” He had inquired. A question in nature so simple... and yet, so damn difficult to answer...

Ripples
I am not sure where and when the ripples began. No one is certain how far-reaching they are. During a difficult time in my life, Mrs. Price gave me good advice. (I apologize for the inadvertent rhyme.) She shared with me that the best way to meet someone was either at church or volunteering. It worked for her and Fred. I didn't listen to her at first, so I spent a lot of time alone and lonely.

Prescription
He was always cinnamon and citrus. Not orange, more of a grapefruit with a hint of something warm and earthy beneath the top notes. She sat a little more upright on the train seat, conscious of not resembling a sack of potatoes this early in the morning and Bailey shifted out the way as her boot inched perilously close to her paw. Oops, better stop moving – she didn’t want to end up in his lap again. Even if he had caught her last time and felt so wonderfully solid beneath her hands. She could smile and talk to him, but literally throwing herself at him might be a step too far.

Fish Love: Why Relationships Fail
Everyone says “love hurts”. Yet, all we ever do is look for love. It feels so good but hurts so bad, doesn’t it? From seeing your world through someone’s eyes to bottling yourself up for that person’s expectations. Love has never been built to be broken. So why in the world could your “possible soulmate” become just a “stranger”?

Empowered Friendship
A very close friend of mine came to me with the most disturbing news. His fiancé was diagnosed with breast cancer. I never saw such a respectful strong king break like this ever. It seemed at times that nothing on this earth could ever break him. But once he had to confront his future queen battling this life-threatening plague, he became emotionally limber…..whimpered like a newborn baby. He needed restoration. He needed to rebuild his strength to be strong for his eternal lover, so I wrote him this letter.

Breakfast in bed
The thing about kindness that always touches me is when it isn’t needed. Sure, you can say kindness is always needed, but that’s not what I mean. I’m talking about that kindness that goes unnoticed. The king of kindness that is subtle, that slips under the radar and straight into your heart without even realising, not because it isn’t appreciated, but perhaps because it’s hard to spot, or it’s just so simple, so small. Sometimes, the person giving the kindness might not even realise themselves. It’s a micro-kindness, if you will. This is my favourite kind of kindness. It’s pure, it’s sweet, but it’s effective. Oh so effective. It’s this kind of goodness in the world that is buildable, and the more and more layers you add, the deeper the feelings of warmth and love go within our hearts. Like the saying goes, little things mean a lot.
