humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
The One-Way Street of Modern Love
Modern relationships were supposed to be built on equality, but what we call equality has become one-sided. Men are taught to give, to serve, to protect, and to love unconditionally. Women are taught to expect those things and to measure a man’s worth by how perfectly he provides them. Men are conditioned to earn love. Women are conditioned to receive it. The result is not partnership but imbalance—a one-way street where the traffic of sacrifice flows in only one direction.

A Map of Silence
The map begins with a door no one will open again. They told me where the room sat in the world: second floor, west-facing, a window that insisted on being bright. The coordinates don't help. A map is supposed to offer orientation; this one is inaugurated in pain and vertigo. The metal on the bedside glints like a semi-colon in a sentence that won't resolve. The air remembers her perfume, but it's been poisoned by the scent of copper and decomposition. Her wrist held to the bedframe created the peak of the mountain of our pain, frozen in place by the glittering cuff that pretends to be a cliffside.

Progressive Hubris and MAGA Willful Ignorance Both Fuel America's Political Dysfunction
Introduction: Two Sides of the Same Dysfunction In today’s polarized America, political discourse often feels like trench warfare. On one side, Progressive hubris—a belief in moral and intellectual superiority—can alienate and dismiss dissenting voices. On the other, MAGA willful ignorance—a rejection of facts in favor of tribal loyalty—can entrench misinformation and conspiracy. Though ideologically opposed, both extremes contribute to the same outcome: a fractured democracy, eroded trust, and civic paralysis.

If We Progressives Had Led With Grace Instead of Arrogance
Today’s political climate is the result of many choices—some made in fear, some in pride, and some in silence. But what if key decisions had been made differently? What if President Biden had honored his physical limitations, Kamala Harris had been groomed to lead, and progressives had chosen compassion over combat? The landscape of American politics might look very different.
