You've Got To Know The River
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. Muck-smudged glass glowed brown and something under the crooked front verandah shifted nervously. From inside came the sound of rusted bed springs giving up a long held weight. A family of wild pigs, rooting in the deep, wet mulch at the base of the ancient red gums that surrounded the cabin, shrieked and bolted for the the river.

The Nightmare Witches
For best experience, please listen to the song below as you read. The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. Something ancient had woken that night, something hungry. Some say the cabin was home to a witch, lost in the power of black magic. Others say the cabin is home to a monster made from pure evil. The truth was much worse. Whatever creature roamed the halls of that cabin, was beyond any horror imaginable.

The Abandoned Cabin of Death
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. You could see the darkened windows blackened by dust. Imaginations of the locals began swirling whether it was a ghost, paranormal activity, occult worship or squatters. You could hear the whispers saying that the candle would only come on at night to welcome one soul to the cabin. But then that person was never heard from again. Imaginations, loneliness or desperation wanting to allow them to be free from their miserable existence.

The Face of Freddy Findlay
The Cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. I could just faintly see it from where I sat at the rickety, old, wooden table of my own summer cottage. I leaned forward, rubbed my eyes to be sure, and lifted the bottle of Jack Daniels to search for an expiry date. I had only had one drink after all. I stood up and walked slowly to the window to get a better look. I couldn’t breathe, my body was frozen; fingers pressed so firmly on the windowsill, my nails hurt. The flickering light shone through the woods and a shiver ran down my spine. Impossible!

The Unseen
"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window-" "What was that?" Laura asked nervously. She turned her body around to look for the source of the noise coming beyond the treeline. The top of the trees had a soft orange hue from the sun that was slowly setting. The campfire was warm offsetting the cool breeze present on this summer evening.
