Story Of a Poetโ
She stood out to be Greater than anyone could have imagined...

So I was Inspired by a Poet I did research on and I have to say the story was Beautiful disregarding the principles of the factual Journey.
After learning about inquisitive and also Intimate details, I wrote ๐ My own letter maybe I thought I was speaking for the poet, but whatever I had to say, was in reference to an overall situation systematically.
To be Born with a Gift is The Greatest Gift Ever. -poetry is truly the world of the Free.
I felt the life of a Bard when I stood a younger fellow. I held it by my grasp, but Reality thrives in premature Changes...
It's Better to do whatever you really Love because other distractions will Pull you further away from the Gifts you were meant to allocate...
It's not easy to uncover the proper platforms to share your gifts but honestly, they do exist!
Many of us get pulled into directions because of fear, and it is easy to fear rather than being able to Stand our ground and Be Brave!
It takes strength to be Brave and Have Faith and that's what it takes to have Fear so there are no different types of Gifts to live without finding the proper platform.
Sometimes there is no choice and as your pulled like a feather through the fragile threads of a cloth, your landing may turn out to become a Platform.
Here is my piece and Down Below is the Piece I was Inspired by โค๏ธ๐๐
Dear America,
As I look back over the history...
My eyes swell with tears and bitterness,
Why kidnap and bring us here?
America is supposed to be the land of the free...
But their cost is our souls
And they smile with glee...
We changed the regulations
And now they can not believe...
What was meant to hurt us has established us free?...
Now we will rule as Kings and Queens
We were meant to be...
Assess me with the things I need
And I'll Fly Like Phyllis Wheatley!
What's meant to halt you
Was a Blessing in disguise...
No longer can you capture and steal our pride!
The joke was on you...
Build me up as a mistake,
But you can't Break me down...
My melanin skin is my crown ๐
Thank you to my Ancestors,
For showing us, to
Learn it their way
But Do it our way!
I wish I Could take back the pain,
But If I do then we wouldn't have a name!
So we learned to grow with the change
And changed the pain!
Christ Died for our Togetherness...
Many sacrifices Stood up for instability,
Never again will we wear our skin in Shame!
Kill us or shoot us down
But you have to live with the annoyance
Of never getting Rid of us!
Still, we rise and take more accomplishments under our name...
With a Smile and a Crown
We will Remain!
Ps. Equality

Below are Some insights into her Life that I Took a Screenshot also Her poem that inspired my piece is posted Below๐โค๏ธ
I found myself intrigued by this woman Bard.
For a stretch of time, a question regarding women poets was flowing through my mind.
In regard to my curiosity, I researched and came across women Bards in History ๐
It seems there is not enough talk about the importance of having women poets as well as males...
So I wanted to shine some light on my late ancestors and I Read About This Lovely Diamond ๐ (Phyllis Wheatley)

I've never heard of her but it's so sad to know that she died so young ๐ฅบ I'll look into her work. Thank you so much for sharing this!
This piece is phenomenal, Lonzo! Wow! Thank you so much for writing and sharing this piece. I agree with Roy, I hope this gets Top Story status. ๐๐
I'd read a few of her pieces in an anthology text a long time ago but the bio attached to them was a tiny little thing and I didn't learn much about her. You did a wonderful job bringing Phyllis Wheatley to our attention Lonzo. I dearly hope this gets top story status so it is seen by as many people as possible! ๐๐๐โโ๐
I always read, studied, and taught Wheatley and her poetry withh awe and a tinge of sorrow. I love this sentence from your preface: "Many of us get pulled into directions because of fear, and it is easy to fear rather than being able to Stand our ground and Be Brave!"
Thank you for honouring one of our own!
