Stuck on Doom Patrol
Grab a cupcake and let me explain. I am a new HBOMax subscriber. To be honest, years ago I had been a HBO piggybacker and I loved their array of original series. So when the pandemic hit, I had subscribed to several streaming networks just to keep the new stuff rolling in to keep the masses entertained. Color me surprised when I found out that the DC universe had combined all of its content into HBOMax. I was pretty excited actually. I had been wanting to finish the Harley Quinn cartoon series. (FYI, it's also pretty funny, awkward, gorey.)

Slightly Obsessed with His dark Materials
My guilty pleasure is currently, His Dark Materials. The highlights of lockdown is sitting down on the sofa at the end of a long day, hot brew in hand, and watching this series. It is based on the books by Phil Pullman. After watching season one, last year, I was quick to buy the books and read them. The books became a favorite on my shelf. The tv series follows the books very closely, and if anything, goes deeper into details.

Dr. Phil: The Talk Show That Makes Me Feel Multiple Emotions At Once
For all you Dr. Phil lovers out there, I'm sure you can have some degree of relatability for my love and 5-year obsession with the Dr.Phil show! After watching a crazy episode from The Dr. Phil House: Brat Camp released in 2008 and another episode of a young, skinny, attractive, blonde troubled-teen girl from Detroit, Michigan in 2015, I felt the urge to watch more episodes of Dr. Phil, which led to an addiction in the winter of 2016. Since I was experiencing mental health and addiction issues of my own during that time, I believed that watching a collection of Dr. Phil episodes on YouTube every night would give me the chance to seek validation from the other people on the show. I felt alone, so I wanted to see other people struggle with the same issues I was struggling with, to get me to realize that I wasn't "alone".

"If You're Fated, It Doesn't Matter If You Choose or Not."
I realised I didn’t go much into the actual fandom or the books and films in my last post, I kind of just talked about my own experience. Is that the kind of thing you want to read? Or do you want more of a rounded ‘this is the fandom, this is what it does’? I talked about how big the fandom got and how that became intimidating. So this time I’m going to talk a little about the smaller fandoms.

When a Girl Met the World
Being a proud child of the 90’s and the glorious array of sitcoms that ensued, I always say with great pride that Boy Meets World is a classic and an all-time favorite. It’s easy to feel guilt free about defending one of the sitcom golden era’s most beloved shows. From the endearing, yet thought provoking episodes of Cory’s youth, to the later years that deal with some of life’s bigger problems with an endlessly hopeful and hilarious insight, the show was a household staple in many living rooms across the country. That pride, however, did not translate to my best kept secret guilty pleasure, of also falling in love with the sequel series; Girl Meets World.

Getting the Gaang Back Together
If you're reading this article and haven't watched Avatar: The Last Airbender, stop what you're doing, call into work and go watch this show. It has a cast of the most beautiful characters in the world. There is hope and love and friendship and heartbreak and growth. This may have originally been geared toward children, but this is a show for all ages. So go watch it!

Move Over, Real Housewives
I have been very open about some of my more cringe-worthy entertainment obsessions from Glee to Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and recently, my obsession with Bollywood films. My newest addiction, however, definitely takes the cake when it comes to guilty pleasures, because this time, I actually feel guilty.

Norther Exposure - A (Nearly) Forgotten Gem
There are many TV series I love to return to: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Frasier, Twin Peaks, Moonlighting, Sex and The City. But among them one stands out like the northern Star that it is - Norther Exposure. It is the KOH-I-NOOR among TV diamonds. The series I return to over and over again.

The Show That Always Has Me Saying "You Gotta Be Kidding Me..."
Ok, you've caught me! Yeah, I've watched almost every episode for the past 8 years, and yeah sure, these days I sit down in front of the tv every week and watch new episodes with my sister while eating corn cakes... but can you really blame me? The show is absolutely ridiculous, but it is the right kind of ridiculous. I mean, almost every time I watch a new episode I'm thinking to myself
