Writing has always been something that I enjoy and I hope by joining this community, I can grow some more. I'm currently working on writing my first novel, and trying to do as many creative writing opportunities as I can.

Understanding the Illusion of Time
No one one tells you how much time you have, how would they know? We believe we have all the time in the world to achieve the things we set out to do. How often does the thought of everyone seeing the amazing accomplishments and successes you're going to have cross your mind? In most of the dream scenarios, everyone is there. A person doesn't normally wake up with the mindset of, "I need to do X by Y time so that they won't miss this". The lack of time, is never thought of, until some crash of an awakening comes that reminds you, it's generosity is running out.

Oats Overnight Ranked - Vegan Flavors
Previously I wrote about how some great advertising has caused me to make some random purchases. Well recently some ads I kept seeing popped up making me a little intrigued. Overnight oats are something that I've enjoyed in the past, but traditionally takes a few steps and ingredients to assemble. I've tried out some different recipes but never really enjoyed meal prepping breakfast. So when I saw the Oats over night ads, featuring drinkable oatmeal, I thought it was a little odd, but maybe worth a try. I was skeptical for awhile, but when I finally took the time to check out their website, I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of flavors they had . From mocha, key lime pie, pink lemonade and Boston Cream. Some of the coolest flavors contain whey protein so I wasn't able to order them. My dream is that one day there will be a good ratio, so that it will feel like you are constantly trying something new. There were a great variety of vegan flavors on their website. But again I was skeptical of cold, drinkable oats. This isn't an ad, but I figured sharing my experience could allow those who are skeptical to be a little less skeptical.

A moment for each other
We drove up the snowy, winding road towards the cozy A-frame cabin. After a long week of work, seeing the cabin was a feeling of relief. This trip was long overdue. Have you ever worked so hard to meet all your deadlines that you couldn’t even find the time to sleep? So tired that you might as well be running on gasoline. The countless hours working at the office, under piles of countless demands, finally there is freedom just up the road. I’m not even sure I have any fumes left.

Where did all my money go?
When I’m scrolling on social media it always seems innocent at first, until in between my friend’s stories is an ad, for something that I really don’t need, but it piques my curiosity anyways, so I follow the link. One thing that I am always looking for, is comfortable clothing and activewear, so if someone is advertising Activewear, I am usually going to check those out. Everyday we’re hit with a ton of different ads and or advertisements, so I won’t talk about them all, but I’ll mention some of the ones that have caught my attention the most.

Pretty Little Wife
From Barnes and Noble I haven’t written a book review in a long time, so I thought I would dip my toe in the water with this first one. This book was one of my Book of The Month selections from well, November 2020! I seriously meant to read it then, but there have just been so many things I’m trying to balance with work, writing, studying, and creating content for my blog and Vocal. Sometimes it feels nice to procrastinate by writing something for a Vocal challenge, or just because, so here I am. One of my goals is to write a book review each month, and currently, I’m behind for 2021, but hoping to read some more books soon. I have four more BOTM books to read, and I keep ordering more books, just loads to read.

Total Bellas
When I think of shows that I watch consistently, there is usually shame associated with watching a reality television show, like it isn’t good television. This is an appreciation post for Total Bellas, a show about Nikki and Brie Bella and their careers, relationships, and family lives. I have been watching Total Bellas since it premiered on E! Network on October 6, 2016. Season 6 just ended, and I hope that there will be a season 7 because watching these women handle life is inspiring. This show was a spinoff of Total Divas, and the Bella twins were just so great to see on that show that when their new show was created, I became invested, and I wanted to see more. They just have really fun personalities and for being identical twins, it's fun to see how different the two sisters are.

Lost in Riverdale
There is a show that I have been following ever since it hit the CW, and that show is none other than Riverdale. I will do my best not to include any spoilers, even though there are five seasons, so there is an extensive range of events that I could mention here. I am not exactly sure what keeps me hooked when it comes to Riverdale, but I am stuck watching it even thru some of the craziest storylines. Sometimes I think about the show as a guilty pleasure because it can be good and terrible, and sometimes just what I needed to make my week better. It makes me happy, angry, and sad, and sometimes I wonder, what keeps me watching the show?

Can you live without smell?
Can you live without smell? I am asking this question because it is something that I think about every day. At first glance, it sounds like an obvious answer, sure you can live without smell. Out of all your senses, it is probably not even the most vital one. Is not being able to smell your coffee, your wine, or even flowers that big of a deal? Maybe it is one sense that if you lost, you could bear without, compared to losing sight or hearing. How often do you even think about the way something smells anyway? How many times throughout the day do you think about the different items you are interacting with and how they might smell? As someone who has not been able to smell for the past year and a half, I can honestly say, I think about what I cannot smell every day.

Tori's run
Perched on its branch on the tallest tree, a pair of watchful eyes glow under the night sky. The moon is bright, providing a perfect amount of light to watch what is happening in the woods tonight. Every night these watchful eyes see something new. They always visit different trees and different branches to get a unique perspective. Some nights they see teenagers playing, teasing, and chasing each other, partying away from their parents. Most nights are quiet with little disturbances except for the occasional sound of a broken twig. Tonight it looks like the strange woman is out running again, working her way through the woods. The woman never sees the eyes watching her during her runs, usually too focused on pacing herself for them to make eye contact.
