Caped Crusader
Okay…so again, as someone who has absolutely no interest in Batman but very much interest in everyone else in Gotham City we are binging our way through Caped Crusader, Prime Video’s newest animated series. So far we have been introduced to many of the major players in Gotham City including; Montoya, The Penguin, and Barbara Gordon. I am hoping that we are going to get some more of the Batfamily as this series goes on. This will be going over episodes 3 and 4. There will be 10 episodes in this first season and I really kind of already want another season.

Caped Crusader
Yet another Batman cartoon has been released. Prime Video dropped Caped Crusader on August 1st. This first season is 10 episodes long and they dropped the entire season at once. Produced by Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, Daniel Pipskim and Ed Brubaker. Caped Crusader’s animation is very similar to the Animated Series style of animation, and the show starts us right in the middle of the action. We also seem to be getting a Batman costume more reminiscent of Detective Comics Batman and I love that. It’s like the only thing that hasn’t been done in Batman animation, ya know since he has 1000 animated series and Wonder Woman doesn’t have any…but I digress. So as someone who has absolutely no interest in Batman let’s watch the newest animated series.

Batman: Caped Crusader – More Batman: The Animated Series than Batman: The Animated Series?
Debuting mere weeks after Batman Returns was released in 1992, Batman: The Animated Series (Or BTAS for short) has become one of the most acclaimed takes on the Dark Knight. There have been several other animated series, including the sequel series The New Batman Adventures (same creative team, different visual style), the hit-and-miss mid-2000s series The Batman, the silver age throwback Batman: The Brave and the Bold and the grittier, CGI animated Beware the Batman. There is now a new addition to this lineup - Batman: Caped Crusader, created and executive produced by Bruce Timm, one of the lead members of the BTAS creative team. Bruce Timm has boasted that this series is “More Batman: The Animated Series than Batman: The Animated Series” and a more complete example of his vision for Batman – As Batman: Caped Crusader is aimed at older audiences, it will not have to deal with the constraints of censorship and studio interference caused by the need to please younger children or overly cautious parents.
