'Carnival Row'
I have been searching for another fantasy series to replace the hole that was left agape by the conclusion of Game of Thrones. Although that series had, arguably, the worst series finale in history, it will hold hearts and minds captive for all time. I am considering a complete series review, but that is no easy undertaking and will be for another time.

North Shore Music Theatre's 'Sunset Boulevard' Is an Enthralling Performance
Lights, camera, action! I am ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille. North Shore Music Theatre presents its latest production of Sunset Boulevard. Based on the life of the once-top movie star, Norma Desmond is in denial about her declining popularity and existence. Determined to make a return, Norma persuades Joe Gillis to help her write a script to reach the top again before fading.

My Review of 'Between Two Ferns: The Movie'
I would never have thought that Between Two Ferns would ever get a movie. I've seen the YouTube sketches years back and didn't really think much of it afterwards. I thought it was a huge rip-off of the Martin Short character Jiminy Glick. I'm actually not sure who came up with the idea first, but they are two very similar characters with the same schtick. They're both obnoxious TV personalities that insult celebrities in their interviews.

'LULU XX'
Robert Massimi In a very creative, very well-played show, LULU XX IS ONE of the best staged plays I have seen in a long time. This avant-garde play was marvelously set up to put the actor above the audience. Slanted upward, Erika Latta looked like a giant onstage. Regal, this woman was head and shoulders above the audience and she commanded her role

Movie Review: 'The Wedding Year': Who Knew They Still Made Romantic Comedies?
Everyone's getting married and it is driving poor Mara (Sarah Hyland of Modern Family), the protagonist of the new romantic comedy The Wedding Year, nuts. Her sister (Jenna Dewan) is getting married.
