My Review of "Death Wish (2018)"
Death Wish is a remake of a 1974 movie of the same name. I have to say that I haven't seen a good revenge movie for quite a while. When this movie first came out I was actually really interested in watching it. Unfortunately the early reviews of this movie were very unfavorable. I was a sheep and blindly believed their reviews. I have been burned by reviews before so I thought I'd check it out. This might not be the best revenge movie I've ever seen but I actually liked it.

JoJo Rabbit Review
If your Taika Waititi and you've just had your biggest commercial and critical hit of your career with 'Thor:Ragnorok' then you can pretty much tell Hollywood what you want to do next and Taika wanted to make a comedy about a young German boy at the end of World War 2 and his imaginary friend Hitler.

Film Review - Jojo Rabbit (12)
Ten-year-old German boy Johannes ‘Jojo’ Betzler (Roman Griffin Davis) has grown up in Nazi Germany idolising Adolf Hitler. But when he discovers his mother (Scarlett Johansson) is harbouring Jewish girl Elsa (Thomasin McKenzie) in their home, his outlook begins to change — to the dismay of his Führer-shaped imaginary friend (Taika Waititi).

My Review of "X-Men: Dark Phoenix"
X-Men: Dark Phoenix came out last year but I never got a chance to watch it. To be honest I feel like a sheep because I listened to reviews and lost any anticipation for the movie. After seeing this movie I really don't see why it got such horrible ratings. It isn't that bad of a movie but it isn't that great of a movie either. Maybe people have preconceived notions of how this movie should have been.

Death Note Review: Anime vs. Live Action (2006)
Death Note was my first anime, and still the one that has me thinking the most long after viewing it. Sure, it may be considered "entry level" to some of the more proficient anime fans, but I think that's one of the things that makes it awesome. Because you don't really need an understanding of anime or anime tropes to "get" it. Plus, it's full of twists, turns, and awesome characters. To me, that's a pretty solid TV show--anime or not.

My Review of "The Wrong Missy"
The Wrong Missy has just come out on Netflix and I was interested in seeing what it had up its sleeve. It's as formulaic as all the other Happy Madison Production romantic comedy movies. The secret is I kind of enjoy these formulaic movies. This one has its moments but I'll get to that.

Review of The Green Ember Series by S. D. Smith
My younger brother seems to have inherited the book-loving genes just like I did, so he has an extensive library of fantasy and sci-fi on his bookshelves. Because I'm stuck at home for the forseeable future, I eventually ran out of books to read on my own shelves. While I waited for more books to arrive in the mail due to my tendency to shop online as a form of self-care, I thought it would be a good idea to dive into some of my brother's favorites. That was what led me to pick up The Green Ember.

The Wrong Missy
Brief synopsis: After suffering a traumatic blind date experience, a single man encounters the woman of his dreams a few months later whilst on his way to a cross-state meeting. High jinx ensues when he mistakenly ends up asking the former blind date to accompany him on a work retreat instead of the woman of his dreams.
