My Review of "Gentlemen"
Gentlemen was kind of an enigma when it first came out. When the trailer for this movie came out I thought that they had so many quick cuts that I couldn't tell what it was about. I sort of forgot about this movie for a while until it came out. At that point they used a font to advertise this movie that made me think it was related to the Kingsman franchise. You have to compare the movie posters to know what I'm talking about. I decided to check it out anyways.

Parasite: The Movie
I have always loved books and movies. They have been my way of learning new things, visiting new places, being educated about history, and learning about different people. When I was younger, it was something of a ritual for my parents to visit the video rental shop and buy VHS movie tapes which we would watch that weekend. This was long before the internet, the PC, and the technology explosion. There was always something for everyone - Ninja movies, action flicks, drama, comedy, and much more. Sometimes, my dad would give us a lecture at the end of the film to drive home some life lessons. One of his favorite expressions was 'In every work of fiction, there is an element of truth'.

My Review of "The Tiger Hunter"
The Tiger Hunter showed up on my Netflix suggestions out of nowhere. I haven't ever heard of it but it seemed like an interesting film to check it out. When I initially started watching it, I had an idea that it was going to be your typical romantic comedy but it isn't. This movie is more about chasing dreams and learning what's important in life.

2020 Melbourne Documentary Film Festival: Virtual Edition Mini-Reviews – Part 2
Read part 1 of our 2020 Melbourne Documentary Film Festival coverage here. The Wheels of Wonder Play is a very important aspect of every child’s development. It gets them moving, stimulates their imagination, and helps develop problem-solving skills. This is especially true for children in refugee camps in Beirut, and this documentary follows a team of inspired engineers, designers, and play experts that create a prototype play cart for these children. Described as looking like a bizarre combination of Ikea and NASA, the play cart is filled with hundreds of loose parts for the children to play with, as well as the cart itself which can be reassembled into a portable playground.

My Review of "Color Out Of Space"
Color Out Of Space is an incredibly bizarre movie that will have your head scratching at certain points. This isn't a bad thing though. There's so much unpredictability here that it helps out with the horror aspect of the movie. You don't really know what's going to happen or even what's exactly going on. They keep you questioning everything that's going on and I love this movie for that.

My Review of "George Lopez: We'll Do It For Half"
George Lopez: We'll Do It For Half is a Netflix exclusive that had recently come out. I haven't heard from George Lopez for quite some time and I thought it would be interesting to hear some of his new material. What I got was something that felt very familiar but nothing terribly groundbreaking. I did enjoy a lot of the show but it sort of got tired about halfway in.

Review of "Kingdom of Ice & Bone"
Synopsis Lira and Reyker have lost everything. Including each other. Lira of Stone watched her home burn and her clan fall beneath the sword of the warlord known as the Dragon. She believes the man she loves, a warrior who defected from the Dragon's army, is dead. Alongside her exiled brother and his band of refugees, she will fight the forces that conquered her island. But the greatest danger may come from Lira herself--with the blood of banished gods running through her veins, she's become a weapon, and no one is safe from the power of her wrath. Reyker Lagorsson thought he was done being a Dragonman. That was before he saw Lira leap from a cliff and vanish into the sea. Determined to honor her memory by protecting her people, Reyker must feign loyalty to the warlord, undermine him at every turn, and seek alliances with renegade soldiers--without succumbing to the battle-madness that threatens to possess him once more. When the Fallen Ones offer Lira a chance to defeat the Dragon, her quest leads her to a place she never expected--Iseneld, the warlord's homeland. Her journey into the heart of the Frozen Sun will put her on a collision course with Reyker, costing both of them more than they ever imagined, and leaving her with a terrible choice: to save their countries, she must forsake everything she loves.
