Review of 'The Grimrose Girls'
Once Upon a Time meets Pretty Little Liars in this queer, dark academia story about four reimagined fairy tale heroines who must uncover their ancient curses before it's too late. After the mysterious death of their best friend, Ella, Yuki, and Rory are the talk of their elite school, Grimrose Académie. The police ruled Ariane's death as a suicide, but the trio are determined to find out what really happened. When Nani Eszes arrives as their newest roommate, it sets into motion a series of events that no one could have predicted. As the girls retrace their friend's final days, they discover a dark secret about Grimrose—Ariane wasn't the first dead girl. They soon learn that all the past murders are connected to ancient fairytale curses…and that their own fates are tied to the stories, dooming the girls to brutal and gruesome endings unless they can break the cycle for good.

My Review of "Strange World"
Strange World is Disney's latest animated feature film of 2022. They don't really do hand drawn animation anymore so it doesn't come as a shock that this one is 3d animated. It didn't do too well in the box office and that had me curious. I wasn't too sure why since a lot of their movies are quite formulaic and still do pretty well. What was it about this movie that people didn't like?

Empire of Light - A Movie Review
Find the light and keep moving forward. Empire of Light is a 2022 film. The story is set in an English coastal town in the early 1980s, in the Empire movie theater. Hilary connects with a young man named Stephen. Experiencing the usual day-to-day norms at the theater, there is something unusual about Hilary’s behavior.

My Review of "The Patriot"
The Patriot came out back in the year 2000. It was a time when not a lot of us thought about propaganda or even questioned a lot of things in film. That's why I think this movie got away with a lot of stuff when it first came out. Today I'm sure there will be tons of people up in arms about this film when they see it. I remember it fondly the first time I saw it. It was almost like some sort of Batman movie back in the late 18th century.

The magic really has disappeared in The Santa Clauses
"The Santa Clause" movies were a Christmas staple growing up, so when a new addition to the movie trilogy was announced as a six-episode series on Disney+, I was curious. After breakfast on Christmas morning, my partner and I decided to start on the first movie and watch all the way through to "The Santa Clauses."

We Need to Talk About Cosby
I am almost ashamed to say that I was one of the victim blamers when it came to the Bill Cosby rape allegations. I feel like I am one of the people who constantly stands for women, but when it comes to a lot of our Black heroes, I have found a blind spot. Still, I went into watching We Need to Talk About Cosby with an open mind.

My Review of "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery"
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is a Netflix exclusive movie that came out at the end of 2022. It is by far my favorite Netflix exclusive movie of the year. It's a movie of it's own but it's the second appearance of Benoit Blanc of the Knives Out movie of 2019. I was a huge fan of that movie and was in doubt for this second outing. Boy was I mistaken.

My Review of "Ready Player One"
Ready Player One is an interesting science fiction movie that came out back in 2018. I remember watching it back in the day and not quite getting it. Oddly enough I read the book before I watched the movie and I still didn't get it. Fortunately after my 3rd viewing I think I'm starting to see why some people had some great opinions about this movie. This isn't to say you have to watch it as many times as I did to understand.
