Cruel Intentions
TV shows based off of popular movies are nothing new. Even more so from movies released in the 90s/early 2000s. Adding to that very long list is Cruel Intentions, the cult classic from 1999. We thought that before the release of the TV show we should revisit the classic film. The casting in this film is one of the many things that makes this film iconic. Selma Blair, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Joshua Jackson, Ryan Phillipe and Reece Witherspoon made this film timeless.

Dune Prophecy
This year I was introduced to Dune, yes I know that I am several decades late. But when the first Villeneuve film was re-released into theaters, I saw it for the first time and fell in love. I counted the days until the second film came out and then when Dune Prophecy was announced; I was beyond excited. Now Max took some concerning steps regarding its marketing and release (including not giving fans a release date until 3 weeks before) so I am interested to see how the show performs overall. But it is released in a weekly format so hopefully it will have time to find its audience. Let’s get into the first episode.

The Substance well explained: keys to understanding the trendy movie
The Substance, directed by the talented French filmmaker Coralie Fargeat, is the film of the year due to its originality, daring and black humor expressed through a unique body horror story. Demi Moore, the film's leading lady, has delivered the best performance of her career, and many see her as deserving of an Oscar. Margaret Qualley, who plays the villain in this story, has done an impressive job and has a bright future ahead of her.

Fleabag
When Phoebe Waller-Bridge created Fleabag she created a devastating masterpiece. She created something that will send people into existential crisis’ for decades to come. She created perhaps the most emotional television event of all time. Fleabag is a beautiful and heartbreaking journey of human emotion. It's an incredible depiction of guilt, and growth. And most importantly it is perhaps some of the most relatable work that's ever been done in television.

The Big "I" Word
When my husband walks into a room, the TV goes on. If the TV isn't on he looks at you very suspect. He's peering at you with pure concern in his eyes, "What's wrong?". It took me a long time to get use to this. I remember one time he came in and I was lying on the couch in the dark. I still smile at his reaction. He said almost fearful, "Are you okay? What's going on? Why is the TV off? Why are you being weird?". I started laughing. I am the millennial in our relationship. Of all the weird things I could do in a day, this was not one I would have thought of as weird.
