Freedom At Midnight show is set in the pre-independence era of India where we get to see that India is about to become independent and at the same time different conflicts arise, Jinnah says that another country should be created based on religion which should be Pakistan, now how they oppose it, how the British followed divide and rule, you get to see all these things in the show which has seven episodes of 45 minutes length each.

So friends, finally that SonyLIV show has arrived which I was waiting for very impatiently. Yes, here we are talking about SonyLIV's show Freedom At Midnight, so let's find out how it is.
Now if I want to review the show Freedom At Midnight for you in one line, then I would just say that it is an interesting show but yes, it is not a completely correct show.
The way this show was set in the pre-independence era, the detailing of those scenes, and their depth are quite amazing.
I mean that type of buildings, that type of costumes, that type of atmosphere, that type of complete environment, the way it has been recreated in this show is superb.
Literally, in every scene, in every frame, you get to see so much depth that you feel yourself fully in that era, meaning the detailing is so amazing, I don't think I have seen it in any other show before, it is so amazing.
And honestly, I liked the screenplay, see, yes it is slow-paced but the way the drama has been completely held, it was fun to watch.
This show moves forward slowly and comfortably but interestingly.
Apart from this, the makeup done is good.
Everyone has done a very good job, no doubt, the characters chosen here for Jinnah, Gandhi Ji, Jawaharlal Nehru Ji, for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Ji, the actors have done a good job in these characters.
Although Sidhant Gupta as Jawaharlal Nehru was quite young those things were visible in his behavior and the way he spoke.
If I talk about its music and other departments, then it was also placed very well.
Now see, Jinnah has been shown as a villain in the show, which I guess is correct as he had a big hand in the formation of Pakistan, but after that Jawaharlal Nehru was shown a little heroic, by the time it reached the climax, it was beyond understanding, meaning that political loss is seen in some portion.
The cinematography is good but the framing is not that interesting. I mean if the shots of the riots were presented in a more impactful way, I guess it would have been better.
But in case you want to see something different, related to history, then you can try this show once.
I guarantee that this show is going to have a huge impact on ideology.
I will give the show 7 and a half to maybe 8 out of 10.
If I talk about parental guidance, it is a very neat and clean show, there is no abuse or vulgarity.
So this was my review of the Freedom At Midnight Web Series which was released on SonyLIV.
I hope you found this review useful.
