Movie Review: 'The Wake of Light' starring Matt Bush and Rome Brooks
The Wake of Light stars Rome Brooks as Mary, a woman from a small town who has remained in this town to take care of her ailing father. When she was six years old, Mary’s father, Stanley (William Lige Morgan), collapsed in a field from a stroke. Since that time, he’s been mostly unable to speak and has had minimal function other than walking from the bedroom to the kitchen to the living room on a day to day basis.

A Filmmaker's Guide to: Trickster Archetypes
In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we’re actually going to be learning about literature and film together. I understand that many of you are sitting in university during difficult times and finding it increasingly hard to study and I understand that many of you who are not at university or not planning on it are possibly stuck of what to do, need a break or even need to catch up on learning film before you get to the next level. This guide will be brief but will also contain: new vocabulary, concepts and theories, films to watch and we will be exploring something taboo until now in the ‘filmmaker’s guide’ - academia (abyss opens). Each article will explore a different concept of film, philosophy, literature or bibliography/filmography etc. in order to give you something new to learn each time we see each other. You can use some of the words amongst family and friends to sound clever or you can get back to me (email in bio) and tell me how you’re doing. So, strap in and prepare for the filmmaker’s guide to film studies because it is going to be one wild ride.

'Hot Stuff' - A Cop Comedy Ahead Of Its Time
Hi, and welcome back to Second Chances where the maligned, forgotten, and ignored are brought in for questioning. Those who've kept up with my work here know that I have a thing for action-comedies. Five spots in my "Top 40 Favorite Movies" list are taken by Lethal Weapon 3, Hot Fuzz, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Demolition Man, and Beverly Hills Cop. However, there's one movie that just barely missed the list that practically set the stage for the whole genre. It's the largely forgotten 1979 cop comedy Hot Stuff.

Finding Refuge in Old Bollywood
The past few months have been a big transitioning period in my life. Transitioning from college life to the "real world," transitioning from my own apartment to temporarily being back in my parents' home, and transitioning from a place of overall security to a place of uncertainty about where the next phase of my life will take me. In times like these, it's easy to feel some sort of longing for simpler times and this has expressed itself in various ways for me. One of the most recent has been a rekindling of my love for Bollywood movies.

7 Most Anticipated Nollywood Movies Of 2021
It's going to be quite the year. 2020 was a very rocky year for the Nigerian movie industry. It started out really strong, but then March came around and cinemas shut down only to reopen in September. Regardless of how the year went, things still ended well. Movies like Fate of Alakada, Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Nneka The Pretty Serpent still all went to cinema and turned in quite some significant profit for themselves.

Here Is What Is Coming Next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! 2021 Movies and TV Shows! Marvel Phase 5 Full Schedule.
With a lackluster 2020 for us MCU fans, Marvel has given us a beautiful gift with the slate of new tv shows and movies for 2021. While we didn't get to see Black Widow in 2020 like we were supposed to, Marvel is more than making that up to us fans with barrage of new content that is ready to go January 15, with WandaVision.
