Matthew Broderick's Version is the Most Entertaining of All the Godzilla Movies
Photo by umezy12 The 1998 version of Godzilla with Matthew Broderick has excoriated by many since its release. Rita Kempley of The Washington Post sums the sentiment. The film “neither draws upon our fears nor revels in the original’s camp charms. The picture really isn’t about anything, while size vanquishes both substance and subtlety in the overhyped, half-cocked and humorless resurrection of dear old Godzilla Movies… Sorry Rita, I disagree.

Movie Review: 'Stars Fell on Alabama'
Real talk, am I getting soft or is the new romantic comedy Stars Fell on Alabama as charming as it I think it is? I thought I wrestled with my still unfinished review of I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Stars Fell on Alabama has provided an entirely different kind of challenge. On one hand, I can’t pretend I didn’t find parts of the movie charming but on the other hand, am I just a sucker for a good leading lady and a couple subversions of expectations?

Movie Review: 'One Night in Miami'
One of our finest dramatic actresses, Regina King, has made an effortless transition to the director’s chair with One Night in Miami. This speculative historical drama brings to life a meeting of well known black leaders and celebrities for a lengthy discourse on the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and the often controversial role played by the Nation of Islam amid that struggle.

A Filmmaker's Guide to: Trailers
In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we’re actually going to be learning about literature and film together. I understand that many of you are sitting in university during difficult times and finding it increasingly hard to study and I understand that many of you who are not at university or not planning on it are possibly stuck of what to do, need a break or even need to catch up on learning film before you get to the next level. This guide will be brief but will also contain: new vocabulary, concepts and theories, films to watch and we will be exploring something taboo until now in the ‘filmmaker’s guide’ - academia (abyss opens). Each article will explore a different concept of film, philosophy, literature or bibliography/filmography etc. in order to give you something new to learn each time we see each other. You can use some of the words amongst family and friends to sound clever or you can get back to me (email in bio) and tell me how you’re doing. So, strap in and prepare for the filmmaker’s guide to film studies because it is going to be one wild ride.

What is the True Meaning of Disney Pixar's Soul (Ending Explained). Top Story - January 2021.
It is no shock at all that Disney/Pixar once again created an astonishing masterpiece in their latest movie, Soul. If you know anything about the studios over at Disney/Pixar, is that they seldom release movies, but when they do, they never miss the mark. That can be applied to Soul. If you have seen Inside Out, Disney/Pixar's take on what it means to have emotions and not only to feel sad, but sometimes sadness can also bring joy, then you know they are able to take an idea that is so grandiose and synthesize down into something easily digestible for any layman audience to enjoy.

Top 10 Movies of 2020
Running late on publishing this list because I have spent the first four days of 2021 very, very ill. Thankfully, I do not have COVID-19 but pneumonia for sure is also not fun. I’d planned on publishing this list on New Year’s Eve but I figured why not celebrate instead, the end of 2020 by watching Netflix comedy specials and spending time with my family. Besides, New Years Day would be just as fine of a day to release this list. Then, boom, pneumonia, 4 days of pain and nausea that eventually put me in the hospital. Fun stuff.

List of Similar Time Travel Movies Like Christopher Nolan's TENET
I've just watched TENET, and understood pretty much nothing the first time. But it's the Nolan effect that even if you don't understand it the first time, you still enjoy the experience, and consequently you keep binging it until you crack the heck out of it. So, yeah, I've watched TENET, several times already, and still find it fascinating.
