Cho Chang Deserved Better
One of my favourite characters from the Harry Potter series is Cho Chang. I thought she was a great character that I feel deserved better treatment in the films. Like many of the characters that feature in both the film and the books, the books show them positively. They have their own skills and talents. Sadly the 8 films cannot contain every little detail the books had an even gloss over some significant traits. Many people talk about how Ginny is better in the books, but another character I also think had a better time in the books is Cho Chang.

Sisters Of House Black
Many wanted the magical world of Harry Potter to continue after seven bestselling novels and 8 blockbuster movies. So many have also expressed disappointment in the Fantastic Beasts series and The Cursed Child book. For those who really want to explore the world of Harry Potter and its wonderful characters in a deeper manner, I reccomend this fan-made film, Sisters of House Black.

The Perfect Bollywood Films for American Movie Fans
As an American, it often comes as a surprise to many people that I am such a big fan of Bollywood movies. Bollywood is the Indian equivalent of Hollywood, being the movie making industry located in Mumbai, India. But for many, it is an acquired taste that requires a slight understanding of the Indian culture to really enjoy. Where American films tend to be more subtle but to the point, Bollywood films are often very over the top, include singing and dancing, and are extremely long (they typically range from two to four hours long). But as someone who enjoys old films and Broadway musicals, the over the top acting and musical numbers don't bother me and coming from a West African background where movies are typically dragged across four installments, the long run times also don't bother me. But not all Americans, or westerners in general, are the same. Thankfully, there are Bollywood movies for every kind of cinephile and while it may be hard to escape the long run times, the beauty of certain films will hopefully make the time go by a lot faster.

There's Something Wrong With Cherry (2021)
This article features spoilers for Cherry. Based on a not so true story. So let's begin there. For those of you who don't know what Cherry is or for any non-cinephile types who might be Tom Holland fans, Cherry is a semi-biographical film adaptation of a book written by Nico Walker. Please pay special attention to the words "semi-autobiographical". Can anything in life be half a lie? Half-truths? That doesn't sound anywhere near as "gripping" as semi-biographical, but it's still only partially the truth. This critique of Cherry sits comfortably somewhere between Tom Holland’s finest work and the worst movie he’s ever been attached to.

If Guardians of the Galaxy, Then Farscape
John Crichton (Ben Browder) was my Star-Lord before I knew anything about Guardians of the Galaxy. Farscape is correctly labeled a Sci-fi show but it encompasses all the genres storytelling has to offer. Romance, Drama, Action, Adventure, Suspense, Comedy, Fantasy. It is everything you want in a show and everything you expect from good storytelling. If you are resistant to watching shows with alien creatures, but you are receptive to relatable characters and a compelling narrative, I am telling you Farscape is for you.

If You Liked Bridgerton, Then You'll Put a Ring on Emma
If you liked Bridgerton for its wonderfully soapy romp with Shondaland's multicultural Regency cast, then you'll love the latest Emma adaptation. Jane Austen's romantic genius gets a 'glow up' complete with revamped script adapted by Eleanor Catton and the whimsical eye of debut director Autumn de Wilde.
