If Twilight, Then Here are 5 Other Cringeworthy, Awful, No-Good, Terrible, Hilariously-Bad Teen Movies
Anyone who knows me knows I adore Twilight. I've read every single one of the books at least five times and have watched the movies just as many times. I'm even able to quote the first film line by line. We can speak endlessly about its long-lasting impact on my music tastes, the books I enjoy and the content I consume. Don't get me wrong. Despite this, there is no doubt in my mind that Twilight is terrible, awful, cringe-worthy and angsty in just about the worst possible way. That being said, it's also amazing.

Movie Review: 'The Spine of Night'
The Spine of Night is an epic animated adventure for an adult crowd. It’s a throwback to the 70s and 80s when animated movies weren’t always made for kids. The Spine of Night uses the freedom of animation to tell a sprawling and violent story of an ancient power struggle between natives of a forest and the growing forces of power hungry conquerors more interested in subjugating the masses than in creating a future for society.

Let The Wizarding World Go
***SPOILER WARNING*** Ok, so I know this may seem like it's going to be an unpopular piece of writing, after all the world of Harry Potter has gone on to become one of the biggest and most successful franchises ever. So much so, most of the places from the books and movies have been replicated in real life for fans to visit and be a witch or wizard for the day. Who hasn't wanted to go to Hogwarts or dreamed of a visit to Hogsmeade?

Four Grisly Films from the East
So you like your brutal action movies, the critically acclaimed ones like Fight Club and The Departed. But Hollywood keeps pushing out garbage that just doesn't hit the right mark. You're sick of wading through adventure films starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and a dozen Fast and Furious sequels (also starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson now?). You've heard people recommend movies like Seven Samurai and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon but they sound a bit old and tedious, reading subtitles just doesn't appeal to you. While I will always advocate for reading subtitles, I've chosen four films to recommend that can be enjoyed for the visual spectacle that they are. This is my endorsement:

A Love Story in Horror
Psycho (1960), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), Halloween (1978), Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th (1980), Fade to Black (1980), The Shining (1980), Scanners (1981), The Thing (1982), Children of the Corn (1984), Day of the Dead (1985), Re-animator (1985) - these are only a tiny sample of classic films which propelled the horror genre forward that now have a cult-like following.

Toy Story, the Black Friday Reel, and the Film That Never Was
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last twenty years, then it’s almost impossible for you have to be missed Pixar’s animated Toy Story franchise. The first film in the now four movie series marked the start of the CGI age of animation, received critical praise and accolades including a British Academy Film Award, and became the 17th highest grossing film domestically at the time of its release. However, the franchise we know and love today almost looked completely different. In fact, there was a time where it seemed like this beloved Pixar classic would never be seen by the public at all.

Zack Snyder's Justice League: The Definitive DC Experience
Zack Snyder's Justice League has been years in the making. The true vision of what was supposed to go down in 2017 has finally been released to the audiences. Aptly titled Zack Snyder's Justice League it truly is a different movie. I repeat it truly is a different movie and a significantly better one at that.

What Makes a Movie Great?
“Suit the action to the word, the word to the action.” -William Shakespeare Have you ever watched a movie with a good basic premise, and a good cast, and wondered why it wasn't compelling? Did you think with these beautiful locations, this interesting storyline, and these talented actors, that the movie should be great? Or, at least better than it is?

Movie Review: 'Triple Threat'
The new millennial musical, Triple Threat is debuting at Cinequest and is likely to delight those that give it a chance and don’t stop at the words ‘millennial musical.’ The much maligned millennial generation is now of an age of introspection and they are beginning to examine their lives as Gen-X’ers like myself did and the baby boomers before me. And it will happen to you someday to Zoomer, when you start feeling nostalgic and introspective.

Bad Santas!
Ah, Santa Claus. You might think of a fat, jolly old man with a white beard, twinkling eyes and an infectious laugh, whose sole purpose in life is to make families and children across the world happy—-by bringing toys and sweets for us to open on Christmas Day.
