Movie Optimism: The Gift And The Curse
Movie Optimism is a hard thing to have. It’s even harder to explain to someone that doesn’t love movies the way that I do. Someone that doesn’t fully immerse themselves in the experience will never understand. I believe that its either something that you have or you don’t, it’s in your DNA. Movie Optimism will make you see a trailer that excites and make you need to see that movie instantly and pray that it doesn’t let you down. However, far too many times, it does.

Movie Review: 'Six Minutes to Midnight'
England has been turning out some terrific spy movies lately. Recently, Benedict Cumberbatch brought the story of Greville Wynne, the most accidental of spies, to the big screen in the remarkable thriller, The Courier. Now, Eddie Izzard has brought another piece of English spy history to life in the new drama, Six Minutes to Midnight. This time, rather than the Cold War, we are back just before World War 2 with war between England and Germany inevitable and a group of school girls in the balance.

For the Fantastic
If This, Then That These are movie recommendations for the dreamers out there - for those that journey into film to remember that the world is full of endless possibilities which can come in many shapes and forms in one beautiful life. Movies have the ability to show us all the lives we haven’t led, the ones that seem exotic and far from our routines, or the ones that remind us of opportunities and forks in the road that, had we chosen different, may have led us down a whole new track. We may yearn for those choices and chances, or the movies may help us see the perfect and imperfect that is common to us all. They also show us life's key connections found in love, family and friendships, where they may lead us astray or give us redemption and hope. The best movies, for me, are those that show us that there is no one way to live and to love.

If This, Then That.
If you’ve ever seen the movie or read the book The City of Ember. The movie about two kids that went way out of their comfort zone to save their city. They followed an elaborate set of clues to figure out how to turn the power back on to their city seeing as that was the only thing keeping them alive. They live underground and eveyone plays a part in the society including following specific rules. If you love science fiction movies that involve riddles and a long search full of adventure and mystery’s; movies like The City of Ember, you’ll love the movie The Seeker. This movie is about a boy beamed will Stanton who’s moves with his family from the U.S. to England and he just can’t seem to fit in But, he becomes an unlikely hero when he discovers he is the last in a line of warriors known as the Old Ones. The Old Ones protect the world from the forces of the dark. Will must assume the role of The Seeker, using special powers to find the signs hidden throughout the ages and restore the balance between Light and Dark. This movie is one of my all time favorites and it’s becasue of how well they made all of the signs and where they were hidden I highly recommend watching this and the main actor is played by Alexander Ludwig. This movie is full of surprises and has a great story line to follow. I wish there had been a second one but some movies just weren’t as popular as others I suppose. Will is just a 14 year old boy one quote in particular shows that very well. “I’m no superhero!” Will exclaims. “I can’t even figure out how to talk to a girl.” This is a boy that can zap through time and set things on fire just by thinking about it. The Dark, embodied by a particularly nasty fellow known only as the Rider. Masquerading at times as a genial English physician, the Rider causes all sorts of mayhem by manipulating the weather, creating human-looking avatars from birds and snakes, and once by possessing one of Will’s brothers. And the Rider’s power is growing by the hour. Instead of fretting over midterms, Will must cram for an apocalyptic test of character—one that comes due in five short and storm-filled days. The boy must pocket six “signs”—magic talismans—in order to defeat the Dark and save all he loves from complete annihilation.

One more film, with feeling.
"Hey, we need a movie idea for tonight." My parents are notorious for sending this text message, seeking last-minute movie recommendations, and it has taken me years to sort out the formula for finding precisely what they want. As with a lot of older folks, there are a lot of contributing factors in narrowing down what their deal-breakers are: rating (R is only acceptable for certain types of violence, e.g. The Passion, or Speed), the year it was filmed (before 1980 or after 1999 is ideal), nudity and sex (none preferred, but there is wiggle room for a scene where they can hit the "next chapter" button on the remote without missing any major plot points. Thank you Double Jeopardy), and so many other elements that dig deep into who my parents are as people. I used to factor in religion, upbringing, known actors, filming locations, all before realizing I could break this strenuous process down to a simple question:

"I Care A Lot" Depicts The Duplicity "Framing Britney Spears" Hints At
Ben Affleck may have been the star of David Fincher’s 2014 film Gone Girl, but it was Rosamund Pike that stole the show. Her portrayal of the missing-wife-turned-mastermind-antiheroine instantly made Amy Dunne one of the best villains in film history (notice I didn’t say “female villains”), while also earning praise as being progressively feminist. (Much of that credit also goes to Gillian Flynn, who accomplished the rare feat of not only adapting her own novel into a screenplay, but making it equally as good.)

5 Reasons Why The Order Of The Phoenix Is The Best Harry Potter Movie
Harry Potter's fifth year at Hogwarts brings a whole new world of adventure for him and his friends. The tone is a lot darker now that Voldemort is back and the Ministry is after Harry. The Ministry has also invaded Hogwarts by way of Professor Umbridge, but the new environment gives Harry a chance to make new friends, especially from other houses.
