13 Best Young Adult Books
First of all, I would like to clarify that YA books are not a genre. Young adult books are simply the means of denoting the age range these books are meant for. In my opinion, young adult books are for ages 13 and up, though anybody is welcome to read YA books if it suits their fancy. With that being said, these are the top 13 YA books I have read.

The Furry Fandom
The furry fandom is indeed a special place for people of all walks of life. Many different genders, races, religions, etc., come to this place to engage in a social activity and find people they enjoy being around. In this article, I plan to shed some light on these magnificent people and maybe clear up any confusion about them.

Movie Review: 'Pitch Perfect 3' (2017)
Hello, one and all. So...a funny little story. This is the first "Pitch Perfect" movie of the franchise that I've seen in an actual theater. If I may confess, the 2012 inception film didn't exactly entice me to see it in a crowded theater in the first place. I thought it was some cheap "Glee" clone played for laughs; which, yes, I surmised perfectly. Then, I borrowed a Blu Ray copy from a friend of mine. As the Universal logo came with its own a cappella track and a group of young, nubile boys began riffing Rihanna's "Don't Stop The Music", I was instantly hooked; although, the Anna Camp scene where she serenades an entire front row with her undigested breakfast, lunch and dinner, gave me second thoughts about continuing on. But, I stayed with it - and became an instant (but, still much to my painful chagrin) fan of the film.

7 Fictional Athletes that Would Make Sports Fun Again
With all the evidence linking sports to permanent injuries and the political scandals surrounding certain athletes, modern audiences are less inclined to watch a bunch of sweaty people kick or throw a ball around for hours. Sports are becoming quite stale. We need athletes with exceptional talents, like the ones in movies and TV, in order to make sports fun again. These are seven fictional athletes that would make sports fun again.

Movie Review: 'In the Fade'
Fatih Akin’s In the Fade was among the contenders for the Palme D’or at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and is now the German entry for nomination for Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards. It’s a well-accomplished film centered on a strong, emotional performance from Diane Kruger of Inglorious Bastards fame. I’m left to wonder unfortunately, if the film gets more attention for its shock ending than for much of what takes place in the narrative.

Casting the MCU’s Sinister Six
Now that Marvel has finally brought back our friendly neighbourhood Spiderman, played by British Actor Tom Holland, I figured it was time to think ahead to the future, with a sequel to Homecoming already planned even before the first one came out, we are sure to see more and more from our favourite wallcrawler, which means many more villains along the way.

Oscar Watch: 'Lady Bird' (2017)
I thought Lady Bird was going to be about old ladies. This is the purest review I can possibly write about a film because I went in with close to zero background on the film. I saw no previews, I didn’t read another review, I didn’t know who directed the film or who was staring in it. I wish it was possible to go into all movies I watch without seeing a trailer or hearing “what it’s about,” it’s the most pure way to watch. I won’t be able to write this kind of review when I finally get around to watching the The Shape of Water or Downsizing. Those films have been marketed to me non-stop. It is refreshing being able to write and think about a film in the way I get to for Lady Bird.

'Now I Have a Machine Gun. Ho, Ho, Ho': Why 'Die Hard' is a Christmas Movie
Yippee-ki-yay, movie-lovers! It's Christmas Day, and I want to say Merry Christmas, and happy holidays to all. It should come as no secret that I love movies, and I love Christmas. So, when it comes to the genre of Christmas movies, nothing tops Die Hard as the best Christmas movie ever.

Classic Movie Review: 'Westworld'
Listeners to the Everyone is a CriticPodcast know that I have a strange relationship with Westerns. On more than one occasion I have spoken of not being a fan of the genre only to then end up praising movies like Open Range, Rio Bravo or, one of my all-time favorites, 3:10 to Yuma. This bizarre relationship to the Western has a lengthy and unique history.

Some Reasons Why Not
Hello everyone. I’d like to thank you, as one often should, for taking the time to read this. It really means a lot to me. There are a few things I need to make known about this post before you continue. First, it is, for all intents and purposes, a critical look at the new Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, and while I don’t necessarily intend to spoil the series for those who will watch it or haven’t finished it, I will not shy away from talking about the series as a whole. Second, because of the subject matter that the show addresses, this post is definitely going to be a little more on the somber side. And third, it is important to acknowledge this show not just as a form of entertainment or an interesting story to be told, but as a commentary on our culture’s attitude toward a number of issues, particularly that of mental health. With these things established, let’s talk about some stuff.

Movie Review: 'Pitch Perfect 3'
Low expectations are sometimes key to enjoying a particular kind of movie. For example, the third movie in a franchise that was only barely capable of supporting one sequel. The trailer for Pitch Perfect 3 turned out to be the perfect introduction to the supposed finale of the Pitch Perfect trilogy. The trailer was so bad that I expected the characters in the movie to walk on screen, fart, and give me the finger before walking off. That would have been only a slight improvement over that trailer.
