Talia al Ghul Returns to 'Arrow'—but What Is Her End Game?
Arrow fans got a shock this week when Talia al Ghul, daughter of the deceased Ras al Ghul, broke into Oliver's cell at Slabside Prison. Not only had she survived the explosion on LIan Yu, she had also taken over Level Two of the prison, dubbing herself "The Demon," which is appropriate since she is the daughter of the demon who is now deceased.

In their last moments, people tend to show you who they really are. That’s why it’s better to use a knife because guns… are way too quick. I never started out like this. I never really intended for what happened to happen. But when your face looks like this… how else are you supposed to act? I mean give a man a mask, and he’ll become his true self. So, I guess you could say life has its up and downs but have you ever realized that we stopped looking for monsters under the bed when we realized they’re inside of us? That’s when it all started.

'Batman V Superman': Better than You Think?

Why Joaquin Phoenix Is Meant to Be The Joker
When Warner Bros. announced their plans to develop a Joker movie separate from the DCEU, the internet quickly became flooded with dream casting choices that would protect the Joker’s place as one of the greatest villains in any medium. The role, pioneered by Ceasar Romero in the 1966 Batman series, was cemented by Heath Ledger (Dark Knight 2008), Jack Nicholson (Batman 1989), and even voice actors like Mark Hamill, who all gave notable performances. Although Leonardo DiCaprio seemed to be at the top of everyone’s list, Joaquin Phoenix officially landed the role in July 2018. This casting caught some people off-guard and given the negative reception of Jared Leto’s recent portrayal in Suicide Squad, fans are expecting more. Between his varied acting career, real-life experiences, and the gritty tone, this film is aiming for, we believe that Phoenix is meant to be the Joker, and here’s why.

The 'Titans' Trailer Got Some Things Very Wrong
Just recently, I was introduced to the animated Cartoon Network series Teen Titans and instantly fell in love. The characters are likable and fully fleshed out. The stories are exciting and fun. It's one of those kids that doesn't talk down to it's young viewers. So, when I heard there was a live action TV series in the works, I got excited. Then I saw the trailer.

5 Iconic Elements Comics Borrowed from Their Own Adaptations
The success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been bleeding back into the original comics universe for years now, with mixed results. The Guardians of the Galaxy got quick and dirty redesigns to match their first movie as soon as it came out and the less said about the convoluted hoops Marvel jumped through to have a Samuel L Jackson-esque black Nick Fury in their main comics universe the better (especially given they had such a character, the one the movies copied even, in their dying Ultimate Universe, just waiting for a lifeboat over).

'Justice League: War' (2014)
Going into this viewing with absolutely zero expectations turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Considering the live-action origin story for the JL was almost a complete letdown, this animation version was simply outstanding.
