Movie Review: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Warning: This review contains spoilers from the 2024 film, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. I loved the first Beetlejuice movie. It was funny, creative, unique, and I never get tired of rewatching it. It has, over the years, become one of my favorite films, and so when a sequel was announced, I was skeptical. I wasn't sure anything could live up to the magic that was the original movie. That one made me laugh out loud and leave the movie theater singing Day-O (The Banana Boat Song).

Review: Tyler Perry's Madea on the Run Play
I've been a fan of Tyler Perry's since I first saw Diary of a Mad Black Woman in 2005. There was physical comedy, romance, drama, and lessons to be learned, taught by the ever-wise Madea, Mabel Earline Simmons, the matriach of a large family living in Atlanta.

Binge Watch Review: Department Q Season 1
Back in May of this year, Netflix released a crime thriller drama with dark edges, witty banter, lots of blood, and language not everyone is keen on. The nine-episode series, Department Q, is based on a series of books by Danish writer Jussi Adler-Olsen. The books are already being brought to life as movies in Denmark, but this take on the series moved the stories to Scotland with Scottish actors and an English lead actor, Matthew Goode.

Binge Watch Review: The Good Doctor Final Season
The final season ends on a shorter note with only ten episodes. There's quite a bit packed into them, though, and they make for a good watch as everyone's arcs are wrapped. We even get a ten-year fast forward at the end of the final episode to show where everyone is and how they've fared.

Binge Watch Review: The Good Doctor Season 6
The Good Doctor season six picks up right where season five left off with Dr. Lim and Nurse Villanueva in critical condition following a stabbing by Owen, Villanueva's boyfriend. Dr. Shaun Murphy and Dr. Aaron Glassman have a difference of opinion as to how they should proceed with Dr. Lim's surgery, and when Dr. Glassman leaves the room, and "the parameters change" as Dr. Murphy calls it, he chooses to do things his way. This leaves Dr. Lim in a wheelchair and very angry at Shaun.

Binge Watch Review: The Good Doctor Season 5
This series has its ups and downs, and it was really proven in season five. The first ten episodes were painful to watch, in my opinion because of the addition of Salen Morrison (Rachel Bay Jones). Salen was one of the most obnoxious television characters, and adding her to the cast reminded me a lot of The Resident when it, too, brought in a power-hungry overlord type to manage the hospital.

Binge Watch Review: The Good Doctor Season 3
Let me start this review off with a warning. If you have not watched The Good Doctor yet and are considering it based off reviews, you may want to skip this one. It contains a major spoiler that changes the entire show.

Binge Watch Review: The Good Doctor Season 2
Picking up after season one, Season two of The Good Doctor starts off strong with Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) beginning his journey with cancer. He's no longer the president of the hospital due to the events of season one's finale, but it's for the best now as he's in for a terrible struggle this season.

Binge Watch Review: The Good Doctor Season 1
I've always been a fan of medical dramas, but it took me a while to begin watching The Good Doctor. I was already involved with so many of them that I just didn't know if I wanted to fit another one into my schedule. Well, two weeks ago, I began watching this series, and I'm so glad I did. In case you haven't watched it, here's my opinion along with the pros and cons of the first season.
