Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater’s Netflix series, based on the Dark Horse comics by Gerard Way, immediately immerses you in this strange world and establishes that it is playing by its own rules. It’s not always clear what those rules are, but it doesn’t matter because the journey is so much fun.

My first thoughts on Ju On Origins Netflix show
Ju On Origins is a new show on Netflix. It’s of course based on the The Grudge movies. But you it’s not what I expected. The Grudge has a lot of jump scares right away. This show Ju On Origins gets under your skin in your head. And I will explain to you why later. But for now I want to point that the story of Ju On Origins is actually based on a true story. Which just made that house in The Grudge a million times scarier. I thought this was all fiction when I saw it years ago.

An Anime Review of 'Japan Sinks 2020'
Japan Sinks 2020 is an updated adaptation of the 1973 novel by Komatsu Sakyo. The series was produced by Science SARU and is directed by the fantastic Yuasa Masaaki. The story revolves around a family that is trying to survive the sinking of Japan. While it has the outline of a simple disaster movie in the view of the likes of 2012, the events of this show hits harder, and shows the best and worst of humanity. The final episode of the show is about on par with an episode of Violet Evergarden when it comes to the emotional factor.

Dead to Me - Another Interesting TV Show on Netflix
I have enjoyed watching Dead to Me on Netflix. I have watched 2 seasons of Dead to Me. It's an enjoyable tv show and very entertaining. It pulled me in right from the start so I binged watched this show like crazy.

The Best 3 New Movies on Netflix in July 2020
The Old Guard If you loved Netflix’s Chris Hemsworth action vehicle Extraction and are in the mood for some more A-list ass-kicking, set your sights on The Old Guard. Love & Basketball and Beyond the Lights the lights filmmaker Gina Prince-Bythewood takes the sun-drenched mercenary riff and gives it an epic sci-fi spin with the story of a team of immortal soldiers of fortune who have shaped the course of history. The ensemble is led by Charlize Theron, who we know damn well can handle an intense action scene, and the trailer legit slaps. Netflix’s original action movies have been a mixed bag so far, some slight but entertaining a la Extraction, some heavy but thoughtful a la Triple Frontier, but in Collider’s official review, Matt Goldberg praised The Old Guard as Netflix’s best original action movie yet, which isn’t quite a surprise with a filmmaker as skilled as Prince-Bythewood at the helm, but it sure is exciting.

Little Women (2019) Film Review
Greta Gerwig’s 2019 adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women is nothing short of excellent. Known for the success of her original film Lady Bird (2017), Gerwig wrote and directed the adaptation of the childhood classic with a star-studded cast including Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Emma Watson and Meryl Streep (absolute queen). With such an incredible cast and talented writer/director, I shouldn’t have been surprised at the brilliance of Little Women, and yet it still blew me away.

Stranger Things Season 4
It’s now that time where we can start speaking about Stranger Things 4 after that recent sneak peak on Valentine’s Day(I started writing this a day after, but left it in my drafts to come back to, oops). They have also just recently revealed they have done the table read, so filming should be starting soon (this didn't age well, thanks corona) . An Anime Review of 'BNA'
BNA or Brand New Animal is an original twelve episode anime that was produced by Studio Trigger. The same studio behind Kill la Kill and the fantastic Promare. This was a show that I was excited to watch as a result of the studio that was behind its creation, however my excitement for the show was slightly dampened as a result of hearing that it would be released through Netflix worldwide. Which means that there is a good chance that one would have to wait at least half a year from the time the show is airing in order to actually see it if you are living outside of Japan, which is the case I found myself in.
