“I Was the Third Child, My Mother Didn’t Want Me”
Bharti explained, “I was the third child in the family. My father worked in a factory, and my mother was a housewife. They already had two children and were struggling.”
She went on to describe how her mother discovered her pregnancy a few months in and panicked about raising another child. “When she found out after two or three months, she went to babas and gave me various herbs. They told her to eat papaya, dates, hot foods—anything that could harm the baby. But nothing worked. I was destined to be born.”
Her story highlights the kind of hardships many women go through when financial struggles and societal pressures collide.
Born for Just Rs 60
Perhaps the most striking part of her revelation was about her actual birth. Bharti shared, “My mother was alone at home when she went into labor. My father was on night duty. She gave birth to me by herself and only called a midwife to cut the umbilical cord. The midwife charged Rs 60. So technically, I was born for Rs 60.”
She then compared this humble beginning to her present-day success: “I am a child worth Rs 60, and today I’ve bought a house worth Rs 1.6 crore for my mother.”

Bharti’s childhood wasn’t easy. She was born on July 3, 1984, in Amritsar to a Punjabi family. Her father passed away when she was just two years old, leaving her mother to raise three children on her own. Despite the hardships, Bharti found her voice through humor.
