5 Overreactions After The Premiere of The Challenge: Vets & New Threats
I don't know how to feel about the premiere.

The first episode of The Challenge: Vets and New Threats premiered and I have mixed emotions. I want to start off by saying I am friends with some of the cast but I made sure none of them told me anything about this season. I have absolutely no idea what happens and this is the first time in a while that this is the case. It's always interesting to see half of the cast be rookies but they've been doing it a lot recently (Spies, Lies, & Allies, War of the Worlds) are two examples.
This is not a serious article. This will be me overreacting to what we saw in the 90 minute episode as well as the preview episode.
Justin Hinsley is giving "Low Budget Jordan Wiseley" Endurance

Justin Hinsley is from "Cheer" on Netflix. To be honest I don't know anything about this show but I might look into watching it cause I did like Justin on the show. Justin did pretty well on the daily challenge but beat a Challenge Champ in the elimination in Rogan O' Connor. I was expecting Rogan to dominate him but I was wrong. Justin is small like Jordan Wiseley and might be smart and athletic like him too. I don't think he's as smart and athletic as Jordan but that is to be determined.
The "UK Alliance" is Over-Exaggerated

We have had versions of "UK Alliances" for years now. The originals are Joss and Rogan on Vendettas and Theo, Georgia, and Bear on War of the Worlds. Theo and Georgia were friends outside of the show and Bear and Georgia were dating. I feel like this is just an alliance and not a friendship and they'll turn on each other at the first opportunity. This new alliance consists of...
- Rogan O' Connor (Already Eliminated)
- Theo Campbell (Legit Competitor)
- Jake Cornish (Rookie - Don't Know Much About)
- Adrienne Naylor (Wasn't impressive and already fighting with Rogan)
Olivia Kaiser Will Not Only Be the Female Face of the Show but the Overall Face of the Show

Let's be honest - episode 1 was the Olivia show. I am friends with Olivia outside of the show and have told her that I know nothing about this season. I was not expecting this episode to be all about Olivia. She was the main talking point and if it continues she will pass Cara Maria and Tori as the female face of the show. I can see Olivia passing Bananas and CT as the face of the show. I know Olivia is pregnant but I could see her rocking as the leader of "The Challenge" going forward.
Bananas and CT Are Going to Be Early Boots and Rookies Will Beat Them

For some reason I don't think Bananas and CT are going to make it far this season. CT was an early boot last year and Bananas got dusted in the final by Jordan Wiseley. Bananas had a huge role in episode 1 but it was given War of the Worlds vibes and I think he will be targeted early and often. I can see rookies taking out Bananas and CT early this season.
Ashley Mitchell Will Win For the Woman and a Rookie Will Win For the Men

Ashley has had a chaotic history with The Challenge. She won Invasion of the Champions and Final Reckoning and was close to winning on War of the Worlds II but the other seasons she was either taken out early or disqualified. Ashley didn't have a lot of screen time on the first episode but she did say she was going to lay low and work with the veterans and Bananas which was a little surprising. If she can do that and they forget Ashley is there they will regret it because she will all of them in the final.
As far as male goes I don't have a solid pick but I just feel like it will be a rookie.
