Just A List Of My Vocal Stories

A Nightcafe Creation By The Author

Introduction

Because I publish so many stories, a lot of my work doesn't get read by many people. However, many of my stories get a decent amount of reads, but not by other Vocal Creators.

This is a list of stories with over fifty reads but five or fewer Vocal hearts. Hopefully, you will see something that you have missed.

This is just to prove that even with minimal reaction from Vocal and the Vocal community, you can still be a successful Vocal creator.

This is one that I previously published:

So here we go, with screenshots to prove the numbers:

Sam Fender is an amazing artist, lauded by Springsteen himself, and this has been read by fifty people but with only three Vocal hearts and two comments.

This is a place close to my home. Four hearts, two comments, both from friends from across the Atlantic. I do find it amazing that usually my Vocal stories are not read by people who are my UK Facebook friends.

Chris Morton is an artist and record sleeve designer, and this is about an exhibition of his that I visited with my friend Katie. I also did an interview with him in another Vocal Story.

This has five hearts and a single comment.

Family are not everyone's cup of tea, and they weren't in their heyday, but they made some cutting-edge music, and Roger Chapman could be frightening at times. Some of their vinyl album covers were very clever, and I have three of the best in my collection.

Two hearts, one comment.

Coda Records releases bootlegs and demos of famous bands, and some are very good.

This one has four hearts and two comments.

Keith Emerson was a stunning showman and musician, and with ELP and the Nice produced groundbreaking music, often dismantling classical masterpieces.

Two hearts, one comment

Nigel Blackwell should be the poet laureate. Favourites of mine and Caroline Jane, who left one of the comments.

Three Hearts Two Comments.

Folk Music is often extremely violent, murder being a frequent subject.

Five Hearts, Two Comments.

An Egypt-based playlist inspired by a Bob Dylan song.

Four Hearts Two Comments.

A wonderful local enterprise where I did my only live poetry reading. They do great coffee, cake and food.

Five Hearts Three Comments.

Some memes are just nasty.

Four Hearts One Comment

This was prompted by Natasja Rose. Ley Lines do fascinate me and 69 other readers.

Two Hearts One Comment.

My favourite Grateful Dead album.

Four Hearts No Comments.

Observations on Juneteenth.

Four Hearts Two Comments.

An introduction to one of the greatest live bands I have ever seen, I saw them about half a dozen times.

Bob Fripp, one of the greatest ever guitarists. Married to Toyah Wilcox, and responsible for that riff that made Bowie's "Heroes".

Four Hearts Three Comments.

Roger Dean's art and album art are stunning, and adorned many album covers, and I have used a few for some Vocal Stories. This is me wearing some of his artwork in The Japanese Garden, Avenham Park, Preston.

Five Hearts Three Comments

One of my folk collections.

Five Hearts Five Comments.

Another folk collection, and if you check the comments, two people appear on most of these:

  • Randy Wayne Jellison-Knock
  • Dharrsheena Raja Segarran
  • Their support is amazing.

    Five Hearts Two Comments

One of my favourite artists, who sadly lost his life in a fire, but I still listen to him regularly.

Three Hearts Two Comments

From the moment I saw her, I loved everything about Jordan Reyne, one of the few musicians whom I buy each new release without question. This is a very revealing interview.

Five Hearts Three Comments

A current project is her podcast "The Loneliness Industry" which you can find on her YouTube Channel:

Gavin Penn is an artist with a gallery in Alnwick that I visit whenever I am there

Four Hearts Two Comments.

Another folk song collection with a Pagan vibe.

Two Hearts One Comment

Kate Bush is amazing.

Four Hearts Two Comments

More Folk Songs, not favourites with Vocal Creators ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜น

Three Hearts One Comment

I love Ivor Cutler but he is no longer with us, but I have all his albums (I think)

Two Hearts Two Comments

Unsure why this got so many reads.

Five Hearts One Comment.

Always loved Martin Muller's beautiful, surreal art.

Five Hearts Two Comments

And finally, my fifth most-read Vocal story.

Five Hearst Four Comments

Conclusion

Thank you for reading, and I hope you found something worth visiting on this list.

And for this monstrous story stack, I have chosen Sir Christopher Lee's Metal "My Way"

Thank you for the mention Mike. I subscribe to so many people so I try my best to read them all but sometimes it's very difficult ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

I know I read a lot of your stories but will go back and read these one. Great compilation of stories and articles.

I might check out some of the art-inspired ones and the ley lines one; I am particularly intrigued by ley lines. Itโ€™s interesting how you have so many stories that have outside readers but not many Vocal readers (youโ€™ll need to share your secret to getting people outside of Vocal to actually read your Vocal pieces). Perhaps thereโ€™s a pattern to topics people on Vocal tend to read? I donโ€™t know. Thank you for the intriguing read.

You are very prolific, my friend! I've got loads of pieces with no comments. I wrote most of them before they even had the option to comment. ๐Ÿ’œ
