Mystery
The Rogue Dragon
Stealing food from Cole’s kitchen will be simple. After all, I’ve been doing it ever since I learned how to steal. With Cole’s permission of course. When we were smaller, after a day of playing in the Forest of Shadows I would sneak into the kitchen while the cook was occupied and take tea cakes, scones, apples, sandwiches and bottles of milk. We would have a fine picnic in the woods by our Crystal pond and swim in the cold water to fight the summer heat.

The True Guardians
Prologue The world I once knew has burned to nothing but ash before my eyes. The smoke was thick and black on the once flourishing island of magic where I stood a moment before, as it became a mere distant memory. A cruel reminder of what the world was before him. My breaths were shallow as harsh rain poured above, my horse darting through the new world of battle. The horse could only run for so long before stopping on the ledge of a cliff. The end was near. He was near. The island trembled in fear below my feet, knocking me and my other mages to our knees. We were helpless. Through the fog, two glowing eyes emerged. The monster who had started this battle wasn't going down without a fight. I can’t breathe, I can’t speak. The eyes were filled with nothing but wrath and pain, emerging only now that they have been buried for over three millennia. It was taking what was theirs all those years ago. The day the creator had been shattered into fragments and thrown deep under the surface, never to be seen, until now. They stand above me, like a titan.

The Swirl: Chapter One
The night was quiet and chill as I stepped off the midnight train that had just brought me home from a very long shift at the Trayton Organization in Trayton Fields. My work was top secret as we studied the mysterious ongoings of the universe, including what was known as 'Black swirls.' The company knew they existed, though we weren't allowed to announce it to the world because Mr. Stevenson, the boss was afraid that it would cause unwanted panic in the streets. I, on the other hand, had never witnessed these swirls as he called them, and neither had my colleagues who worked night and day to unravel the weird mysteries of this universe.

A millennia and one
It was several millennia back when the world opened their eyes to the possibilities beyond reasoning. They saw colors never before seen, they heard sounds that have never been heard before, and even felt new emotions that were thought to never be possible. With the previous shroud of ignorance removed from our eyes, a new looming bleak existence creeped over our heads.

The Yellow Hibiscus Chapter 21
It's too early to say." "What do you make of the florist's story? I am viewing it right now." "It doesn't make sense, does it?" Sgt. Booker explained. "A woman comes in with a Diamond to identify a flower. She hands it to Juan, and he goes up in spontaneous combustion! Sounds like science fiction to me. Diamonds will send you to the poor house, buying them, I mean, but they sure don't start fires or kill people."
