Summoning

The next 4 were all just average guards in status . 2 german Shepards and 2 dobermans . I still was able to gather that the others that we were waiting on were my friends , Draco and Visceroy . So I really didn’t need to meet anyone else . Funny how that turned out I thought . The only new people I needed to meet were already here .

I've met Draco before . As soon as he was 13 he started challenging us adventurers , hunters and warriors to one on one duels . We can have legal duels in our village that we can participate in as long as no one gets mortally injured or wounded . You definitely cannot kill your opponent in a legal duel . You can possibly get a lifetime locked up in jail if it can be proven that it was your intent from the beginning .

Anyways 2 years ago when he was at the ripe young age of 13 . I fought Draco and got my ass handed to me . It was close until he got serious . I never underestimated him during the fight either . There were already stories about a young prodigy that was related to the chief .

He was a dragon summoner . His summoning is just a fearsome as him if not more because it's a dragon . Dragons are thought to be extinct in our world but some people are still born with the ability to summon them . Summoners have 5 different archetypes within their magic type . They have weapon summoners who can either summon one weapon which strength is relatable to the user's magical strength . Or one who can launch multiple copies of a weapon at its opponent . Usually the more weapons they use divides the strength of each weapon but it can create advantageous openings . The base strength of a weapon summon by someone who can summon multiple weapons is relatable to ones magical strength as well . An example of someone in this world who can summon one magical weapon is Visceroy . People who can summon one weapon usually have weapons with outstanding abilities to compensate .

The other archetypes involve living creatures or people who aren’t alive anymore ! The one that involves people or creatures that have passed away are necromancers . They gain summonings by killing people or creatures . They do this by stealing their slain enemies souls . They can hold as many souls as their magic can control . The stronger the summoner the more powerful souls he can use at his disposal . Necromancers are the rarest because this type of summoning is a combination of soul and time magic . Both are different variations of light and dark magic being combined . There' s light and dark magic . Then there’s elemental magic , fire , lightning , water , and earth . There’s plenty of other magics that involve a combination of these .

The 4th archetype of summoners are the contract type . They can make blood contracts with trusting creatures or people . A chant is made after a blood signing is made on a spell scroll . The Contract summoner has to have more magical power than the signee . Physical power doesn’t matter so most contract summoners have dangerous physical summonings at their disposal . Just like the souls stealing necromancers the Contract summoners can only hold as many summonings as their magic powers allows . The special things about contract summoners are that they usually have another power . Some of them can only contract summon though . Both are rare and can be very formidable .
