Where help and hope are on the menu
Not every café is the same. On Chester-le-Street High Street, REfUSE has established itself as a hub in this County Durham market town. The café has a special ethos – combating food waste by rescuing ingredients rejected by retail and creating a vibrant community space in the town centre. That usually makes it a bustling hub, with live music and open mic nights adding to a winning recipe, and all on a ‘pay-as-you-feel’ basis.

I made Dominique Ansel's Cronuts at Home.
If you don't know who Dominique Ansel is perhaps you've heard of the Cronut. If you haven't heard of the Cronut, prepare to have your mind blown. Imagine a croissant. Flaky, crispy, tender, crumbs falling when you bite into it. Now, picture that in the shape of a donut. It's a circle, with a smaller circle inside cut out. Now, the best part is, this croissant/donut was actually deep fried. Just like an actual donut is instead of baked like a croissant.

The first thing I learned about Jim was that he was obsessed with games, specifically chess. I’d met him through a mutual friend at a games night hosted at Jim’s house. We played Dungeons and Dragons over champagne and pickles while Jim narrated a story of mythical creatures and marvellous missions in outrageous role-playing style.

The Post-COVID-19 Business World - Part 2: Restaurants
NOTE: In the first article in this series (The Post-COVID-19 Business World — Part 1: Overview), we sketched out the very changed world that all of us are living through presently as we cope, both individually and as a society, to the COVID-19/coronavirus pandemic. We set the stage for examining how the business world in general will change in what will be the post-pandemic environment to come (and yes, it will!). We believe that it is critical that companies across the board, from the largest corporations to small, local businesses develop strategies to succeed in the post-pandemic environment.

Recipes That Make Your Groceries Go Further
Grocery budgets can be stressful , but I think they are especially stressful in the event of a emergency. My hope is by putting together this article it helps couples and families make their groceries go further instead of a protein only making one dinner helping it make 2 ,3 or 4 dinners. I also plan to write a seperate article that is full of meal suggestions for vegetarian meals.

7 drinks, 7 days: caffeine edition
No one asked me to do this. I didn’t need to do it for any specific reason, except I was preparing to be in my house for a long, indeterminable amount of time and decided to make it interesting. I tried these 7 energy drinks over the course of the last 7 days. I’ve never had any of them before this, so here are my first impressions of each, along with a rating out of 10. Enjoy!
