Three Ingredient Cool Whip Candy Copycat

Better Than a Three Musketeer Bar

By Ridleys RecipesPublished 12 months ago 3 min read

I have a bit of a sweet tooth, and I love chocolate. Always have, always will. And when it comes to candy bars, I don’t need anything fancy—just give me a Three Musketeers, and I’m a happy camper. It’s simple, it’s classic, and it doesn’t overwhelm you with too much sweetness or a bunch of unnecessary extras. Just light, airy nougat wrapped in creamy chocolate. Perfection.

So imagine my delight when I discovered this Cool Whip Candy—a homemade treat that tastes just like a Three Musketeers bar but even better. It’s fluffy, chocolatey, and downright dreamy. And the best part? It’s ridiculously easy to make with just a few ingredients. The combination of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and Cool Whip creates a texture that melts in your mouth, and it has just the right amount of sweetness.

Another reason I love this recipe? It lasts for up to 30 days in an airtight container, which means I can make a batch and stash it in the fridge or freezer for when those chocolate cravings hit (and let’s be honest, they always do). I like to keep mine extra cold, pulling out a piece whenever I need a quick fix.

Cool Whip Candy Recipe

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Freezing Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Total Time: 1 hour 50 minutes

Servings: 36 pieces

Ingredients:

4 (12 oz.) packages of milk chocolate chips (or semi-sweet if you prefer)

2 (8 oz.) containers of Cool Whip, thawed

48 oz. dark chocolate (chips or melting wafers)

Directions:

Melt the Milk Chocolate: In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt your chocolate chips for two minutes on medium power. Stir well, then microwave for another 30–40 seconds. Keep stirring and heating in small increments until the chocolate is smooth. Be careful not to overheat it, or it’ll seize up on you. If it does, don’t panic—just add a small amount of vegetable oil or coconut oil to help smooth it out.

Prep the Pan: Line a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and set it aside.

Make the Fluffy Filling: In another large bowl, gently fold the melted chocolate into the Cool Whip. Don’t be alarmed if the chocolate starts to harden into tiny bits—it’s all part of the magic. Keep folding until everything is fully combined, and you’ve got a light, airy mixture.

Shape the Candy Base: Pour the mixture into the prepared 9 x 13-inch pan, using a spatula to smooth and level it out evenly. Place the pan in the freezer for 45 minutes to firm up.

Cut into Squares: Once set, remove the pan from the freezer and cut the candy into 36 squares. Transfer the squares to a parchment-lined cookie sheet, then place them back in the fridge or freezer for another 45 minutes to ensure they stay firm before dipping.

Melt the Dark Chocolate: When you're ready to dip, melt your dark chocolate wafers in the microwave according to the package instructions. Stir until smooth.

Dip and Coat: Working quickly, dip each candy square into the melted dark chocolate, making sure it's fully coated. Place the coated candies back onto the parchment paper. If you want to get fancy, you can drizzle a little extra chocolate on top or sprinkle with crushed nuts, sea salt, or even a dusting of cocoa powder.

Final Chill: Return the dipped candies to the fridge or freezer until the chocolate hardens completely.

Store and Enjoy: Once set, transfer your candies to an airtight container and store them in the fridge or freezer. Whenever you need a bite of chocolate heaven, just grab one and enjoy!

Trust me, these little treats are dangerously addictive. Whether you keep them all to yourself (I won’t judge) or share them with friends and family, they’re sure to be a hit. And if you love Three Musketeers bars as much as I do, this homemade version is going to blow your mind.

Enjoy, friends! ❤️
