Navy Shipman "Unidentifiable" After He Was Beaten to Death Because He Was Gay. Content Warning.
Before the military created the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in 1993, gay and lesbian individuals were forbidden to serve. Botched: The First Person Executed by Electric Chair
Until 1888, hanging was the only method of execution used on criminals sentenced to death. Many deaths ended in excruciating pain and sometimes, decapitation. This led officials and the public at large to label hanging as barbaric. Although the state elected to kill the person, they wanted it done as humanely as possible. Lawmakers began looking for an alternative execution method. Alfred P. Southwick, a New York dentist, had an idea. He suggested death by electricity. The 1990 Lenin Peak Disaster. Content Warning.
‘Extreme’ fascinates me, as my page name may suggest. True crime is my primary interest, not only because it provides valuable insight into the criminal mindset, which I think helps me stay safe, but also because it teaches me so much about the darker side of life in general. A second fascination of mine is extreme mountain climbing. People risk their lives to reach the summit, battling conditions that push the human body beyond its limits, all for a chance to trek into a forbidden place.

While everyone shows their gratitude for Grammy's mac n’ cheese, their good health, friends, and family, I'm over here showing extra appreciation for my love of true crime, knowing I’ll never be the star of an ID Channel show.
