grief
Losing a family member is one of the most traumatic life events; Families must support one another to endure the five stages of grief and get through it together.
A tradition with the dead
The Day of the Dead has always played an essential role in my life growing up. It's a tradition going back many generations, however this year in 2025 is a hard one for me because a year ago I lost my mother due to Pulmonary fibrosis it's a lung disease it hardly has treatment but definitely has no cure however this year I had to put up my mother's photo with my father who also passed away in 2017 due to heart failure.

The Corruption of Childhood Innocence: How Modern Media Helped Rewrite the Family and the Iconic Berenstain Bears
There was a time when The Berenstain Bears stood for something good. It was a series that helped children understand responsibility, honesty, humility, and faith in simple, practical ways. The lessons were gentle and timeless. Papa Bear could be silly, but was never degraded. Mama Bear was steady, but without being domineering. Together they modeled respect, teamwork, and the kind of family order that reflected biblical truth: the father leads as the head, the mother respects and nurtures, and the children yield and learn.

Stillborn but stilll born.. Content Warning.
This is a story about my personal experience with stillbirth and healing. It was early 2021 when my partner Jay and I decided to try for a baby. I already had two children from a previous relationship, Tyler who was 9 at that time and Keira who had just turned 5. Jay had no children of his own but was a natural step father figure with Tyler and Keira since he came into their lives in 2018.

Freedom Without Consequence: The Lie That Destroyed the Family
Modern society claims to champion equality, but when it comes to parenthood, the system could not be more unequal. The law grants women near-total control over reproduction while holding men accountable for outcomes they cannot influence. This imbalance has produced not just unfair laws, but a moral double standard that punishes responsibility and excuses recklessness.

Daring to Burn in the Fire
A full moon invocation for those rebuilding themselves from the ashes of truth, grief, and divine becoming. They warned me that when you step into the fire, you will not recognize your own skin. That your hands, your eyes, your breath, even your bones would feel unfamiliar. That the world would feel heavier, and yet lighter, all at once.

Well Done, Good & Faithful Son
I save memories. That is the main reason that I write. Recently, I came across this story which I wrote in college in English 101. The year was 1988. After I had finished with it, I read it aloud to my firstborn son. His reaction? He crossed his arms over his body and gave himself a huge hug and smiled the biggest smile and then came and gave me a hug, too. A mother never forgets those hugs.

You Married Them, Not Their Family: Navigating Difficult In-Laws. AI-Generated.
When I said I do to Rohan, I saw only him. His kind eyes, his easy laugh, the way he made me feel like the most interesting person in the room. I was marrying my best friend. What I didn't realize was that I was also saying I do to weekly Sunday dinners that felt like job interviews, to a mother-in-law whose compliments were always backhanded, and to a family whose idea of love was constant, unsolicited advice.

How to Deal with a Toxic Parent Without Losing Your Mind. AI-Generated.
For most of my life, a phone call with my mother felt like walking through a field of emotional landmines. I would take a deep breath, pick up the phone, and hope for the best. But it always followed the same path.
