Life Lessons & Mothering
The relationship between mother and daughter is perhaps the most intimate, precious and complicated human relationship in human existence. We would not be here without our mothers. They have given so much to us. Regardless of how good or bad we feel our childhoods were, we owe so much to them.

Pressure makes Diamonds.
My mom has truly shaped me into becoming the woman I am today. Although I am still 22 and have a lot more Adulting to do , my mom has inspired me in so many ways. Regardless I am incredibly grateful to come from such a strong lineage of great women. When I was 2 years old , my dad was deported back to Nigeria , when we were living in canada. My mom had to raise three toddlers all by herself. While taking care of us she was balancing a job and going to school to get her license to become an R.n. At the age of 4 she moved my sisters and I to Nigeria because she wanted our family to be reunited back together but things didn't go as planned.

Housing assessment test: Does our child live in a safe environment?
Dropping, kneeling, jumping, or pushing each other. Turning, choking. Eating what is not for food. Playing with your own pet without knowing the rules of the animal's game. Leaving without adult supervision. To protect children from injury, parents need to be aware of the risks involved. True, not everyone can predict. However, much can be prevented! Therefore, parents need to be purposefully educated on how to protect their child's health and even life.

TEA CUPS AND ROSES
It was my closest friend of 47 years, to be exact, who first mentioned my mother's hands. We were enjoying afternoon tea as she commented "Look at those hands, aren't they amazing. I know them so well and they are always there, for support! don't you agree?" and we both laughed joyously as we knew this was so true.

Chained Up to a Memory
What is memory? How it affects us, and why do we have it? Does it stay or after time becomes transparent? This question has no exact answer. Memory can bring a smile into a face or tears and pain to the person. It can hold you in either way if it is a burst of sunshine like a moment or coldest and deepest fear. How does it happen? The main answer is fear. When past days were too good, we are afraid that it will never be the same. It makes us feel depressed, hopeless and filled with sour fear. Also, when the past has been cold and dark, we are afraid to feel it again. My mother has taught me how to get rid of the chains and cliffs of the past. Get ready to dive into the memory of mine.

My Dear Mum
My mum she stood 5 foot 10., 165 pounds, I grew up in Brooklyn NY in an area known as "Little Sicily" my dad was Italian You would think. That this woman would not be very agile. But yet she managed to always be in my face when I least expected it. My mom was loving and kind. And I was her only child. However, I was not ever spoiled. You know how they say, spare the rod and spoil the child and how they always say that the only child is a spoiled child. Not in this house. There are times that I remember. when I didn't do as I was told to do. It always seemed that she came from out of nowhere to make sure. She disciplined me.
