Kintsukuroi Heart
“If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude.” Maya Angelou It would have been easy to pick any of the beautiful women that have resisted, pushed forward, marched, motivated, or been martyred for others through words and actions. There is a long list of those many of us acknowledge, and surely a much longer list of those that we do not. I have chosen to share with you about one that is not well known, yet her works, and indeed, what she chose not to do in her life, had lasting impact in the lives of many.

To the greatest mom ever
This is to one of the strongest and loving individuals in my life right now and that is my mom, who sometimes I refer to as mommy bear. I am truly grateful to have a mother like her, because of the sheer resiliency and strength that she shows no matter what she is going through. For always finding something to be grateful for in the midst of living through some of the most challenging moments in her life.

How to Grow Old
My grandma’s story doesn’t involve international travel, or fame. She led a fairly quite life; no potential blip for future history books. But, to me, it’s the most important story of all. It takes place in small Midwestern towns and is about a conservative woman who grew up in a conservative time with conservative beliefs; who, at 95, has shown how to accept and love and change in an imperfect world. It’s a story on how to grow old.

The Phenomenal Woman
My best friend, my confidant, my sister and the list goes on. Who is this person? She is my one and only beloved mother. I like to honor and dedicate this story to her. Few months ago as we all celebrated her 70th birthday, It got to my time to speak some words about her and could not stop myself from tearing up as I recounted all the support and inspiration she has given me to be this grown woman I am today.

Me and this lockdown...
I'm annoying to myself on a good day. On a bad day, I'm downright unbearable. I've been having a lot of bad days as of late. I'm sure I'm not the only but, as you probably guessed by now, I like talking about myself a lot. I'd like to keep that in mind as I continue on telling you all the issues I have going on with me right now. Here we go...

MY LOVE,MY MOM
Inspire means to “breathe into” and when you breathe: Life comes forth. To be honest, I don’t know what to say, words to me though I write so easily don’t bring the recognition deserve to her. Life was something I needed, and she had the oxygen, and I began to breathe the moment she said I was chosen. DNA has no meaning, matter of fact it’s extinct, for this woman with nothing but love, made my heart beat. Weighing one pound, nine ounces, with no chance at all, she saw something great in someone so small. When doctors came with news not so good, she remained in the hope and that’s where she stood. For, other than love, there was care that ran deep for this premature baby with the cutest chubby cheeks.

Superhero Mom
Meet my superhero, the wonder of all wonder women, my beautiful mom – Phouthasinh Louangketh. Many of us honor our mothers as superheroes and indeed they are. Let me share with you the courageous act of my mother during a time of war, conflict, and years of uncertainty. My family of three – mom, my older brother, and I – embarked on a dangerous and uncertain journey that many of you have experienced in one way or another. My native country of Laos was overruled by the communist in 1975 resulting from the Vietnam era conflict. My father had been scheduled for execution, which rapidly led to his escape plan. Once of out Laos, he found a new family and did not return for us.

Best Indoor Toys for Kids
Kids need to have their toys to avoid getting bored especially during the times that cannot play outdoors. It is a must that you get them something to play with or you will end up suffering the consequences of not giving them the best kids indoor toys they can play with. There are a few indoor toys that you can choose from. From getting the kids indoor teepees to an indoor trampoline, it's all up to the kids. You can get them toys depending on what they like. However, some toys can be gender-specific. It's best if you can get something that they can play together if you happen to have boys and girls around the house.

From Uncertainty to Victory!
The Beginning: Lets begin in 3, 2, 1… in the spring of 1993 is where it all had begun. I imagine that it was a rainy day with just a hint of sun. I was catapulted through the womb of my mother, then before I knew it I was caught between a lash and a gun. According to statistics and probabilities, not speaking physically, but emotionally I was scarred from the start, wounded, marked and it pierced through the heart. My grand entrance into this three dimensional plane of existence was doomed from the start. Like so many, I was unplanned, but there was still a plan, even though I did not enter this world under the best circumstances.
