The Eternaut
My Thoughts On The Netflix Series

Introduction
The word "eternaut" blends "eternity" and "astronaut" to evoke the idea of a timeless traveller.
I dropped into this because it looked interesting. I am up to Episode three and will be seeing it through despite some early misgivings and annoyances.
I have been lazy and gone for the dubbed version rather than subtitles, and that may be part of the reason why I almost dropped it. To me, some of it comes across like a bad eighties crime "drama". Rotten Tomatoes give it 94% so it has impressed a lot more than me.
But on to my thoughts on the series.
My Eternaut Thoughts
I will not give anything away, but Snow in Buenos Aires, Armageddon and Alien Invasion give some idea of what to come.
It does start with a hammer blow, and no one has a clue what is going on. There are groups of people sheltering inside, and I found the dialogue excruciating, but I got the gist of what was going on. Lots of arguments, blame and guns.
The outside scenes are excellent, while reminiscent of The Walking Dead and War Of The Worlds. Things are unfolding, and it is these sequences that have kept me watching, and I am glad that I did.
It is Science Fiction and is excellent, and it is worth delving into the genesis of "The Eternaut" just by using a search engine.
I give it an eight or nine out of ten, and that is lower than most reviewers, but if you like science fiction then this will be worth your time.
Check out the trailer.

I'm on episode three too. I get what you mean about the dialogue being rough at first. But those outside scenes are really something. They do remind me of The Walking Dead. I'm curious, what made you stick with it despite the early annoyances?
I have this put on my watch list.
I just watched the trailer and it didn't seem interesting to me. Not my cup of tea hehehe
I've been considering this show. Sounds good. <3 Thanks, Mike
Sounds good to me. Don't have the Net. So I guess it's moot.
