NY Philharmonic.
The New York Philharmonic over the years has changed and it keeps experimenting and changing. In the late 90's and well into the 2000's, I was a season ticket holder. The Phil at that time was experimenting with traditional pieces in the first act with new, more contemporary pieces for the second act. As a more traditionalist it led to me giving some Julliard student waiting outside hoping to get in to see the performance receiving two really good tickets!

Mommy, there's a new girl
We are all different in many ways and 'Mommy, there's a new girl' which is a children's picture book written by Danielle Webb and David Smith that shows and tells the story of Matilda, a little girl who has dwarfism. Matilda doesn't talk much and the other children make fun of her till one day someone makes the decision on how to make things better. Danielle Webb as the writer shows how one person can make a difference in another's life. Her story is written as a poem in my eyes with some of the rhymes in the various 'stanzas' of the story. David Smith has drawn pictures that will make your heart melt. This is a story of new friendships that form over all differences and find out that you may find something in common with each other. This woud make a good picture book to use in a Social living class.

A Collection of Short Stories and Poems
There is nothing like a perfect poem or short story that allows a person to truly enjoy reading. Gary E. Smith wrote this collection that he entitled 'A Collection of Short Stories and Poems'. This book is one that describes the writing life that some think of as romantic in a sense. The short stories and the novella that he writes that he titled 'Alexandra' describes the various relationships that writers may pursue by chance. The poems at the end of the collection were verbally picturesque as well as the photographs that the poems depicted. Gary E, Smith has written a book that is written by a poet and a writer that is one creative person who teaches through his writing and exhibiting his emotions through his work.
