What does it really mean to a Catholic? 'The Empty Confessional' is an adult novel written by Tom Hagan about a main character by the name of Gabe. Gabe is a young priest who wants to help his parishioners in any way that he can. Gabe lives in Pittsburgh and many odd happenings have been occurring in his church. Gabe has many decisions to make about how he wants to help.

'The Empty Confessional' is a story that shows what it could be like to be a priest in a major metropolitan city and when there are serious crimes that are taking place in said city. What is a priest to do? Tom Hagan has written this novel to show how priests are humans too. This is also a novel that allows the reader to visualize the events that occur in the story. This is a good book that shares that priests do more than sit in a confessional, but they are advocates for all.
