Me, Myself and I
In learning to be a writer I needed to learn many things. Even though I have worked as a practical nurse for 16 years along with being a Substitute teacher for a few years I always had an inkling that I wanted to write. The first time that I learned cursive handwriting and seen how the letters joined together was just like drawing a picture and I remember I could not put the pencil down and just write till I looked up and the teacher told me with a look you know all teachers have and she gave me that look and I had to put my pencil and paper away.

Social Services
In my writing I like to share what I have learned and used in my career as a nurse. I studied Human services/Counseling along with Teacher education and Accounting/Office skills. At the time I was a nurse I also got to work as an Activities assistant director. Here is an acrostic poem defining or describing the world of Social Services.

Bella A Mouse Tale
'Bella A Mouse Tale' is a story of good and evil written by George Bastin and illustrated by George Franco that shows how the 'little guy' can win. This is the story of a mouse named Bella and her work and business. Bella has some decisions to make with some of the characters. The George's have written a story that teaches the good and bad elements of the community she lives. 'Bella' is also a good story that shows how cooperation with others will help with various issues and events. 'Bella A Mouse Tale' is telling and showing how a children's picture book can teach lessons in and of the real world and what friendship is about.

Tragladord vs The Science Club
'Tragladord vs The Science Club' is quite the story to teach all about ecology created by Julia Andrews and illustrated by Alexander Bennett. They have created a story picture book about a group of youth and how they all learn to appreciate nature and what it offers all of us. It is the story of friends Sven, Chloe, Clare, Joel, Amarca, Dylan and Hugo. All these youth live on a planet that is filthy and needs cleaned up somehow and they need to figure a way to do this or it will be too late.

Gregg Shorthand
Gregg Shorthand is a skill that is obsolete in the business world now but is still used in legal offices and by some journalists with their own style of writing. Gregg shorthand is a phonetic way of writing words and phrases using various symbols like lines and curves and dots. There are other forms of this subject like Pitman, Teeline and Alphahand. To me Gregg shorthand is easier to read and write, and I am planning on sharing lessons here on Vocal.com. I have tried to find some pictures of Gregg shorthand on Pexels.com and a few other image places but no luck. In my lessons that I am planning to share I will be writing words, phrases and letters from the textbooks that I had in high school back in the 80's by Leslie and Zoubek.
