What Kim Kardashian-West is doing in terms of laying the groundwork for releasing non-violent “criminals,” who are serving time for drug charges, could speed the end of the narcotics prohibition. Her willingness to not only sacrifice her time and money, but to invest her resources in a cause that she is selfishly involved, is a plus. For a young woman much maligned for her vanity driven nature, Mrs. Kardashian-West has displayed a genuine and proper interest in seeking justice for these individuals.

It was December fourth, 2018, and my father was set to have a surgery at Memorial Hospital that morning. It started out as a beautiful day, fresh morning breeze, and the air had a scent that was relaxing. As we drove to the hospital we enjoyed the older father son conversation, how's the wife and kid, hows life and how's work. To many this may seem like a small section of whats to come in this story, however to myself, this was all I could think about. My father and my families life would soon be on the line. We arrive to the desired destination and the surgical room was already prepped. I stay with my father until they come to take him. I hug him goodbye as I head home to await the call to come back.

To their left and right are lower platforms with microphones for people who will be questioned. Protecting them are the officers of the law, who stand by the flags of the United States, and the state in which the court is held. A court reporter types away off to one side, as the lawyers prepare their case at tables facing the judge.

Racism has turned the world upside down. For years African Americans have been targets of violence and oppression simply because of the color of their skin. The world has seemingly turned a blind eye to it, as racism is still a broad subject matter today. Despite the various “attempts” to make Blacks equal to Whites, the fight for equality still stands strong today. In this article, we will cover the topics of Racial Profiling, Police Brutality, and explore the activist group “Black Lives Matter.” This article will connect all three topics to show the injustice in this country towards African Americans. It will also emphasize that under no circumstance is skin color ever reasoning to suspect someone of criminal activity.

Something Wicked (Part 3)
Evansville, Indiana, is the home of the best of the best and the worst of the worst. Pizza King? Best Stromboli, ever. Zesto's? Let me lay out the picture for you. Your take-out order is handed to you in a paper bag, and by the time you get home, you can see through the bag. You open the burger and take a bite, and it's a mess. A greasy, artery-clogging, salty, delicious mess. Best burger, ever. Mesker Park Zoo is a must-see and you simply cannot visit Evansville without stopping in at the Hilltop Inn for the best brain sandwiches in the Midwest. (Or so I'm told. Brains? Yuck!) You find the most selfless and giving within the Evansville Fire Department and the Evansville Police Department certainly has some well decorated officers within their employ. Super cops. The ones you know better than to mess with. They take the job of law enforcement seriously. Their only purpose is to serve their people, and they love their people.

How Technology Has Affected Crime
Criminals are constantly evolving to better themselves, to evade being caught by the law. Technology, for one, has given law enforcement a large boost, because of all the new ways to identify and investigate a crime scene, evidence, and surveillance. This road goes both ways, though, criminals are also able to take advantage of the technology just the same, and to use it to better their crime, and not be caught as easily because they understand the laws and the crime they're committing better. This can be applied to a multitude of crimes from white collar crime to a simply burglary, and because of this, law enforcement and criminals are in a constant battle trying to one-up each other in who is more advanced in their ways.

A First Day at Kendall House—Taken from Resident Testimony—Kendall House Part 1
The small 15-year-old girl stood on the doorstep of the formidable Kendall House with her child care officer. Her stepfather and mother had no desire to continue being her legal guardians, and there were little other options open to a homeless teenager in the early 1970s. They had made the poor little lady homeless at a crucial and complicated time in her mental and physical development. Her child care officer had spent the time in the car on the way to her future accommodation telling the anxious young lady of how great Kendall house was. By the time the girl was stood on the front step of the care home she would have had a chest full of excitement and trepidation. The front door opened to the sight of a strict-looking lady, who engaged in a brief conversation with the girl's official state chaperone. Once he was out of sight the lady looked down upon the teenage girl, “I’m Miss Law” she said, “I’m in charge of this place.” The girl must have felt a chill down her spine as Miss Law grabbed her by her hair and pulled her in through the door. She realised at that moment that this was not the fairytale palace which had been sold to her during the short journey there.
