Lacey St. Pierre
It would happen on her birthday. The sudden crash and bang as the front door was breached and dark uniforms flooded in - blinding them with flashlights, screaming incoherently and holding plastic shields up - interrupted the second chorus of “happy birthday” while her best friend carried the personalized cake to the table.

Book Review: "Tomorrow They Won't Dare to Murder Us" by Joseph Andras
“Tomorrow They Won’t Dare to Murder Us” is a book about morality and how we begin to question it in situations of extreme danger. When a terrorist attack is being planned by Algerians upon France, there is a certain expectation that we must detest them and we must condone the safety of the public. When the Algerians state that nobody must die then not only do we begin to question our morality but we also begin to question their motives. In this book, we see exactly what horrors these people have endured their more violent neighbours of the French. We see exactly how the Algerians are constantly treated as the outsiders despite being able to speak French and live as the French do. We see exactly the price that is paid for being different in even the slightest of ways. Within the book there are these moments of brutality in which we see people come together against adversity and yet, be punished differently based on who they are and where they are from. It is an absolutely gut-wrenching book for the most part because of the way in which we see certain characters go through intense amounts of pain.

Sweet Baby
The grays, why is it every time someone gets abducted or visited it's the gray ones? No reptilians, no three legged or four legged freak of space, it's the gray nerds of the cosmos. Now Alien was an 'alien'! "Get to the choppa! "Billy!! C'mon!" ....loud bangs on the door interrupted the thought process. Michael turned and laid propped up on his hand listening to make sure it was HIS door he heard being hit. Not the best loft apartment but it was cheap and big enough considering the space and location within the city. Something he needed just starting out, even had a small nook overlooking 2nd Ave and Noble. Again another two loud bangs,

Once We Were Children
We come and we go and we are who we are, nothing can change this. Fate. That’s what we believed when we were kids if you could call what we were, kids. We quickly learned, there are no children here. Many of us, too many, believed there was only one path that lay in front of us. Sometimes I think none of us were ever really children, the curiosity and amazement of childhood evaded us in the absence of able-bodied parents or positive role models, the lack thereof which caused the streets to step in to raise us. We really thought we knew it all.

South Carolina Law enforcement ..And why you shouldn't violate department Policy...
Sorry Nikki Haley, but with all due respect..South Carolina needs your help again. The first time Dr. Bryan Chapman and his nurse, Ann treated me with as little respect as possible and I was discharged with no way to get back to Savannah. After almost being hit by a car, I did what any normal person would have done called law enforcement. The local PD handed the call off to the Sheriff's Department .. which clearly was the biggest mistake. The female deputy's solution, refuse to take me anywhere safe in Savannah , run my driver's license and dump me in the street when I had requested she take me to law enforcement in Savannah. ..Well I am pretty sure I remember the events very clearly. I may not remember her name but I could tell you exactly what she looked like.

A Person of No Importance
I always lie more convincingly in a red dress. Good thing I was wearing one when the police arrived. And the bloodstains! They would have been positively lurid against the cream-colored Stella McCartney cocktail dress I was this close to putting on the night before. Well, I always have been lucky. If you met me in person, you’d hate me. You really would.

His voice rumbles in my head, shaking the world around me as he tries to break down my defenses. He’s trying to make me susceptible to his every suggestion. I’m fighting and fighting, but he keeps persisting. I scream out in pain. “You don’t understand! I can't cope with doing something like that!”
