Chill The F*** Out!
I would describe myself as a playlist lover. I love creating my own playlists, I'm always creating playlists for my loved ones, and I get way too excited when I discover a great new playlist. I love playlists so much Spotify could probably hire me due to how much experience I have.

My Healing MRI Playlist
Recovering from multiple surgeries is stressful—and boring. I've got a couple more surgeries to go, probably... It's hard to relax when you're in pain. The normal Zen meditative playlists do nothing for me! Instrumentals don't work, either; whether they are classical or jazz. I've found I need songs with lyrics in order to distract my mind from the pain. Having to get multiple MRI's, the technician had a playlist that worked for me! Yay! I don't care that these aren't modern songs. All that matters is that I can close my eyes to these songs and let the music take me away. Here are my 12 favorite tunes I discovered while in the MRI machines, which continue to help me to calm down:

The Music in My Heart
Let me first start off by saying I listen to music with my soul. As an artist myself I can pick apart the beauty within the lyrics and can easily find a way for a song to be relatable in my life. I not only listen to music to bring joy into my life I also listen to see what I can hear that can relate to my life because I wanna be able to express what I cannot bring to words.

How My Playlist Attracted My Soul Mate
One of the best ways to relax me entirely is to make me feel like I'm heard, seen, and understood. I love to talk to people who have been through similar things I've experienced; there is a bond in unique life events throughout all of humanity where, in just a fraction of them, you can connect with souls who have hurt the same way. Sometimes, though, I don't want other people to help me find my calm. Solitude is beneficial at the right time and for the right mood. For me, that's where music comes in.

Seven Songs to Heaven
Starting with a clear beginning and keeping a structure to meditation is critical for success. The time is not just wasted but used to the fullest capacity to reset and relieve conscious and subconscious mind. Everything has a time place and flow that will make meditation less cumbersome and more like a mix between fun, fantasy, and the most serious work a person can embark on in this lifetime.
