Music and Mood
I had a thought the other day about music and decided to write about it today. I listen to music every day, pretty much all day. I have music on in the car, I have music on at my desk while working, I have music on when I'm cleaning at home, and when I'm at the gym. I have music on getting ready to go out, and I have music on when I'm taking my bubble bath. Now, depending on my mood depends on my music. In the car and at my desk I listen to a local radio station, Play 92.1 FM. They play throwbacks from the '90s and early 2000s. This music pumps me up! It reminds me of simpler times in high school. Memories with my classmates, and being at night clubs in my early 20's. When I'm cleaning I listen to the same type of music, only I use YouTube playlists on my TV. At the gym, I listen to old-school R&B/ Hip Hop from 90's early 2000's, but only if I'm using the gym's speakers and Spotify. If I'm listening to my iPod, it's Country. I know weird right? While taking in some self-care I listen to spa music or instrumental. I have a special "Bath Time" playlist on my iTunes.

Keep Calm and Rock On
Rock music is a type of popular music genre that started out as "rock and roll" in the United States during the late 1940's and early 1950's. Rock music formed into a wide variety of styles in the mid-1960's and later, specifically in English-speaking places like the United Kingdom and the United States. Rock music has influences from multiple genres like jazz and classical music. Rock primarily utilizes instruments like the electric guitar as part of a rock group with the bass guitar and drums. Rock music is always song-based. It has a 4/4 beat and it has verse-chorus form.

My Hot 100 - #75 - 51
It's time for Part 2 of my 100 favorite songs of all time! (Check out Part 1 if you haven't already.) These are the songs that have permanent status on my YouTube and Spotify playlists. Just a quick reminder: I am only counting one song per artist, soloists and their bands count as two artists, and all genres and musical eras are fair game.

Anti-Valentines Day Playlist
Like many single people, when this dreaded holiday comes around, I always get depressed. I’ve barely ever had the opportunity to celebrate Valentines Day with a girl and this year, even with Covid adding to the humiliation of it, it was no different for me. Usually I’d spend this day sulking about how crappy being single is and maybe find a way to splurge on myself, to have a day to myself, to show myself how great I am, despite not having a girlfriend and how i have no need for one.

Oh Hiii, Mark
...And I may happen to be one of those. Imagine... a few years long ago... you just met the love of your life but you don’t know it at first. All you know is that he has the best smile in the whole world and the first time you laid eyes on him, you felt as if you had known him for longer than you’d been alive.

My Hot 100 - #100 - 76
I just celebrated another birthday. I've been on this planet for more than 40 years now, and I've heard a lot of great music over that time. I found myself thinking about that, and I decided to take on a challenge that even Ally thought was crazy. I decided to name my 100 favorite songs ever!
