Getting the word out
Hey everyone! :)
I'm sure some of you have noticed that I've been contributing less to Vocal in terms of submitting poetry, etc. Well, there's a specific reason why. See, I have been writing a book of poems for and about survivors of sexual assault (rape / intimate partner violence / domestic violence / human trafficking). I have put all my creative energy behind this project. There are now 40 poems in the collection. I started shopping for a publisher, but most publishers want $20 and $30 read fees just to read your book, and that became financially burdensome and tedious very quickly.
