As the world watched on

Country in Distress

America celebrates a day of freedom.

The freedom of those who stormed our capitol.

The freedom of ICE to deport actual Americans.

The freedom of the government to cut medicaid.

The people have no where they can turn for aid.

Our country has become a joke to the world--

The country with a madman at the helm.

where the people are tired and overwhelmed.

What type of country gives freedoms

only to take them away on a whim?

What kind of people vote for a man who lies

over and over again?

🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Thou shalt not be LGBTQ.

Thou shalt not be poor.

Thou shalt not be foreign.

🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

These are new commandments our country

now stands for.

Land of the free?

Only if you fit the mold they adore.

Well done, Sam.. I am not American, as you know, and I cannot understand how such a person can remain President. I have to turn to a different channel every time I see his smug face with that ridiculous red baseball cap and his pathetic fist-pumping geriatric dance. Not a good image for what was the greatest country in the world.

This is so sad. We wonder when we wake up from the nightmare.

It's hard to watch from here, especially as I can see it as a potential problem with UK politics too.

I guess your country really redefined the meaning of freedom :/

I wish this didn't speak so true right now, but it really does. I hate what he's doing to our country because I know that we can do so much better. Thank you for having the courage to say so.
