Enough
For the unofficial challenge by L.C. Schäfer Michael sat on the floor with his hands on either side of his head, bewildered, his blonde hair hanging down, hiding his eyes. But if you could have seen his once sparkling eyes, you would now think only of the red/white/blue of an American flag. The tears still clung to his lashes and down his cheeks. He had been sobbing there for over an hour and now they just silently rose in his chest, causing him to hurt each time he took a breath without her in his world.

"You". Top Story - June 2025.
Where are you? Do you hear me? Have you been watching me all these years? Do your stories include me? Do you look like me? What kind of personality do you have? Are you boisterous like our sister or reserved like our brother? Or are you somewhere in between those characteristics as I am? What are your passions? What were your dreams? Have you made them all come true?

I Bet You Were Cute as a Child!?
Is it time for another unofficial challenge? How about a "mostly" non-fiction drabble? For artistry sake, you may embellish a bit...But let's make this one all about YOU. Include a description of yourself as a child either playing with your favorite toy, spending time with a beloved pet, reading your favorite book, or glued to your favorite tv show or movie, etc. You may include your favorite snack, but more importantly, include your personality, too.

It Made Me Think
Today I read a story that kind of shook me. I don't think that was the intent of her story, but it did rattle my emotions a bit. I was taken into a journey of fond remembrance and then catapulted into the stark reality of today's world from my vantage point. It left me with all the feelings of losing the woman I once was...or at least a portion of that woman. I realized that I had resigned from being a sexual and passionate creature. I had put those desires to sleep when my husband left.

Sorry; not sorry. Top Story - May 2025.
Your Honor, please!!! I implore you to gaze upon this fair woman's countenance and arrive at the innocence of her soul. She meant no harm to her husband that fateful night...her only sin to pick the wrong mushroom added to the soup bowl!
