UnWanted People
According to a psychological article I read this morning on my cellphone, there are four to seven types of personalities that healthy, self-respecting people should avoid. The four I read about include: The Chronic Critic, The Narcisisstic Manipulator, The Emotional Vampire, and The Perpetual Victim. I'm the last one.

Gaslit Again
It is difficult for me to distinguish between narcissism and empathic. I am both, sometimes one more than the other (off balance) but I am too self-aware to deny both parts of me. Yet according to the definitions prescribed I am gaslit for being empathic. At this moment I am hearing a lyric from a song (by John Mayer's song "Why Georgia Why").... "....don't believe me when I say I've got it down...." I can feel that line. Just when I thought I was calm, cool, collected, peaceful, and accepting of myself and my life, just when I thought it was SAFE to act human again, I got gaslit and I burned up in flames.

Cindy, the CarSitter, is a Genius!
I just heard the most amazing thing on the News. Eureka and halelujah, I've waited over 50 years to get excited and rewarded for listening to the news anchors. Life can still surprise me and that is brilliantly satisfying. What was it, you ask? Oh, I'm sorry you missed it, but I will share. Yes, this morning on the news, the best news I've heard in too long. Cindy the Genius has solved a major problem with her incredibly sharp mind and entreprenuerial spirit. I'm almost envious at her genius, but I'm too happy and grateful for her idea to feel envy.

Florida Summer Journaling
Remember that bumper sticker that read "I'd rather be golfing". I saw a bunch of variations of it and I thought they were somewhat funny. I'd rather be doing something else than sitting in my car in traffic. Yeah, that's usually true, until you don't have a car. Then you're sitting in your home watching tv or doing something else that no one notices thinking, "I'd rather be stuck in traffic." Smile. Forcing a ha ha. Yeah, it's funny and it's not funny.

Do you call Sex Love?
I've heard many poets and musicians refer to sex as love. I've heard many doctors and scientists call sex other words such as coitus, mating, sperm donations, copulation, intercourse, and some others. Do you call love sex? Or are you like me? I call sex sex, and love love. If you are like me and prefer to keep a term simple and comprehendable, then you may be interested in my list of vices that fall under the sexual conversation. The reason people like me do not call sex "love" is because of our experience in the six sexual vices which include: Danger, Jealousy, Disgust, Guilt, and Remorse. I will attempt to describe these vices with examples of horrible living circumstances that are quite painful to an individual so that the poets and musicians who wish to comprehend why some of us do not like calling love sex feel this way.

Sarcastic Poetry
Well, this really bites. I thought Vocal was going to be the future of journalism, it's not. I thought Vocal was going to be a new career for me, it's not. I thought Vocal was going to produce fresh, original, and authentic writers who could lead lovers of the word into the future, it's not. Vocal is just another loser like Allpoetry filled with pompous, lazy, untalented people who will use the cheapest tricks like Ai and Grammerly and any other dimwitted lazy tactic they can find to pretend that they are actually writers. They're not. Congratulations on another Top Story. They might as well call that the Plastic Ai Award. Good bye Vocal. You're nothing but a dream squashing bologna sandwich with fake cheese. Your Top Stories are probably calculated by some formula put into the computer program that spits out the carefully chosen Ai contributions that have paid to keep this website online. I am disillusioned again, but I'll recover my dignity and clarity quicker than in the past. Tell all those bozos at the most noble, honorable, and highly esteemed institutions (like M.I.T) that their new apps and websites are even worse than their old ones and if no one cares about the History or English professors, then no one cares about your new tech class or invention.

Political Rants Should Focus on Issues, not celebrities
Oh oh, here I go again sharing my thoughts and opinions about American culture and politics based on the buzz I'm reading or watching from various media sources. If you haven't read any of my rants before this one, be prepared for some "radical" opinions. Also, for those who don't know me yet, I preface my editorial with the fact that I'm almost 54 years old, born in the USA, and living on Social Security. Long story how all that happened, but those three basic facts about me do influence my opinions.

As Movie Viewing Changes, What Should We Hope for?
Last night I was happy that I obtained access to the viewing of the recent Oscar's awards ceremony. I have always enjoyed watching the fashions on the red carpet and seeing if the host is going to be funny or basic. Conan O'Brien hosted the 2025 Oscar's, and his sense of humor had me falling off my chair in roaring laughter so I was pleased. I didn't see in any of the glimpses of the audience the same laughter I was experiencing, (which must have been somewhat disappointing for Conan) but what can you do? Humor is subjective.

How will Books Survive?
The digital world changed media and everyone knows that. Self-publishing became possible and then returned to difficult. Hollywood and film creators had to make major adjustments as Net creators became significant artistic contributors. Journalists and Book Writers felt the changes also. Some incorporated the various mediums and kept bleeding ink regardless of the devices available. Some chose one method over the other and found their audience. And then there were some like me - who have utilized various resources to learn about the possibilities.
